Why did Ethan Ng say Bitcoin demand was rising?
Ng said, “The level of BTC demand is high and is increasing.” He attributed that demand to mainstream adoption, regulation, institutional and corporate interest, and users in developing regions. The interview offers no measurements or independent evidence to test those explanations, so they should be read as Ng’s assessment rather than established market findings.
Did Ng think the crypto winter was over?
Ng argued that the market was already at a turning point for a bull run, while cautioning that a recovery would not necessarily look like a sudden switch to rising prices. He invoked the Gartner Hype Cycle and characterized blockchain as moving toward a “plateau of productivity.” That was his interpretation; the interview does not independently establish Gartner’s assessment or show that a blockchain adoption cycle predicts Bitcoin prices.

What was his Bitcoin price forecast?
Ng said he expected Bitcoin to exceed its previous $20,000 peak and reach $30,000 within 2020. This was a forecast made in February 2020, not a current prediction. The interview records the prediction; it does not validate it or provide an independent price analysis.
What risk warning did Ng give?
Ng described cryptocurrency as a high-risk financial product because prices can rise or fall sharply. He advised people who were unsure about their risk appetite to seek financial advice. What learning resources did he recommend?
Ng encouraged investors to study Bitcoin’s whitepaper and CoinDesk’s introductory Bitcoin 101 lessons. He also mentioned joining cryptocurrency communities, but the interview does not assess the accuracy or safety of those groups. A beginner Bitcoin book can be another optional learning aid; Ng did not endorse a particular title.
