Verdict: avoid Binatex. Binatex has been associated with online binary-options trading, a product that has been banned from sale to UK retail consumers since 2019. It is not a broker a UK investor should treat as an FCA-authorised alternative to a mainstream investment platform. The combination of binary options, offshore-style marketing, aggressive promotions and reported withdrawal concerns makes Binatex a high-risk destination for funds.
If somebody introduced you to Binatex through WhatsApp, Telegram, social media or an unsolicited phone call, assume the contact may be part of an investment scam until you independently verify it. Do not send more money to unlock a withdrawal or pay a supposed tax, verification charge or recovery fee.
What is Binatex?
Binatex has been marketed as an online trading platform offering binary options and related speculative products. Binary options usually work on a simple prediction: will an asset’s price be above or below a specified level at a particular time?
If the prediction is correct, the trader receives a fixed payout. If it is wrong, the trader generally loses the stake. This is not the same as buying a share, fund or ETF and owning an underlying asset. It is a short-term, all-or-nothing wager on price movement.

The product itself is a major warning sign for UK consumers. The Financial Conduct Authority banned the sale, marketing and distribution of binary options to retail consumers in the UK from 2 April 2019. A website continuing to offer this product to UK retail customers should not be regarded as a normal UK investment broker.
Is Binatex FCA authorised?
There is no sound basis for treating Binatex as an FCA-authorised UK broker. A genuine regulated firm must be checked on the FCA Financial Services Register using the exact legal name and contact details—not by accepting an FCA number, logo or certificate displayed on a website.
That distinction matters because fraudsters and unauthorised firms can copy:
- an authorised firm’s name;
- an FCA reference number;
- a London address;
- regulatory logos; and
- the names of real employees.
Use the FCA Register’s telephone number and website details, not the details supplied by a Binatex representative. If the firm does not appear with permission for the service being offered, do not deposit money.

Why Binatex should not be treated as a normal investment platform

A professional-looking dashboard proves very little. Scam websites can show fabricated account balances, simulated profits and supposed trade histories. The decisive question is whether money can be withdrawn to your own bank account without paying more money first—and whether the firm is authorised to provide the service in the first place.
Common Binatex scam warning signs
Guaranteed or unusually consistent returns
No legitimate broker can guarantee profits from short-term market predictions. Claims such as “risk-free income”, “90% accuracy” or “a guaranteed daily return” are red flags. Binary-options providers may present winning trades prominently while hiding the frequency and size of losing trades.
A manager who insists on controlling the account
A caller may claim to be your account manager and ask for remote access to your computer or phone. They may tell you which trades to place, ask for login credentials or request one-time banking codes. Do not provide these. A genuine financial firm will not need your online-banking password or authentication code.
Bonuses tied to a withdrawal requirement
Promotional bonuses can come with turnover conditions that make withdrawals practically impossible. Read the terms before depositing—but do not assume that accepting a bonus makes an unauthorised platform safe.

More money needed to release a withdrawal
“Pay the tax first”, “upgrade your account”, “complete the verification deposit” and “maintain a minimum balance” are common explanations used to obtain another payment. Do not pay it. A further payment rarely solves the original problem and usually increases the loss.
Crypto-only deposits
Cryptocurrency transfers are difficult to reverse. A request to fund the account through Bitcoin, USDT or another cryptoasset is particularly dangerous when combined with an unsolicited approach or guaranteed returns.
Does FSCS protection cover Binatex?
You should not assume that Binatex customers have Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection. FSCS protection is not a general guarantee against trading losses. It can apply only in specific circumstances involving an eligible product and an authorised firm that is unable to meet its obligations.
It does not normally protect:
- losses from a losing trade;
- poor investment performance;
- money sent to an unauthorised website;
- payments made to an impersonator; or
- crypto transfers voluntarily sent to a scammer.
Likewise, the Financial Ombudsman Service is not a universal recovery service for offshore or unauthorised websites. You need to establish which legal entity received the money and whether it was authorised for the relevant activity.

How to check any broker before depositing
- Find the exact legal entity. Do not rely on the trading name. Look for the company name, registration jurisdiction and registered address.
- Search the FCA Register directly. Enter the firm’s name at register.fca.org.uk. Check that the permission covers the actual service being offered.
- Compare contact details. A matching name is insufficient if the telephone number, domain or email address differs from the register.
- Check FCA warnings. Search the FCA website for the firm, its domain and variations of its name. A warning is serious, but the absence of a warning is not proof of legitimacy.
- Reject pressure. Take time to investigate. Do not allow a caller to keep you on the phone while you transfer money.
- Test the withdrawal terms. Read every condition, including bonuses, minimum turnover, fees and identity checks. Never send a second payment to obtain the first.
For UK consumers, the binary-options ban makes the product category itself a reason to stop rather than a reason to search for a different Binatex account manager.
What to do if you have already deposited
- Stop communicating with the salesperson and stop paying. Do not pay a withdrawal fee, tax, insurance charge or recovery service.
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately. Explain that you believe you have been targeted by an investment scam. Ask whether a card chargeback, bank-payment recall or other fraud process is available. Speed matters, although recovery is not guaranteed.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords reused elsewhere, enable two-factor authentication and contact your bank if you disclosed account credentials or security codes.
- Remove remote-access software. If the caller installed AnyDesk, TeamViewer or similar software, uninstall it and have the device checked. Change passwords from a separate trusted device if possible.
- Report the incident. Report suspected fraud to Action Fraud in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, or to Police Scotland in Scotland. Report the unauthorised firm to the FCA.
- Ignore recovery scammers. People who already lost money are often contacted by someone claiming to be a solicitor, regulator or blockchain investigator. Genuine agencies do not demand an upfront payment to release recovered funds.
Keep screenshots, emails, phone numbers, wallet addresses, bank details, payment confirmations and the platform’s terms. This evidence can help your bank and law enforcement.

If your goal is long-term investing, use an FCA-authorised platform that offers conventional products such as shares, diversified funds, ETFs or investment trusts. Check the exact entity on the FCA Register before opening an account and read the platform’s charges, dealing rules and withdrawal terms.
A legitimate platform still cannot remove market risk. Shares and funds can fall in value, and compensation schemes do not cover normal investment losses. The difference is that an authorised platform operates within a defined regulatory framework and is not selling UK retail customers a product prohibited by the FCA.
