Which recruitment the notice covered
The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar, issued the notice for the 21,391-vacancy Bihar Police Constable recruitment under Advertisement No. 01/2023, originally published on 9 June 2023. The written examination was held in six stages on 7, 11, 18, 21, 25 and 28 August 2024. CSBC published the written-exam result and PET shortlist on 14 November 2024. These figures and dates describe that recruitment cycle only.
Scroll reported that 1,06,955 candidates were shortlisted for the PET. That count comes from the news report; the CSBC notice confirms the shortlist but does not state the number in the notice covered here.
When the admit-card information and PET were scheduled
CSBC’s notice, dated 20 November 2024, said candidates could access their PET date, venue and admit-card information from 12:00 noon on 21 November through the “Bihar Police” tab on the CSBC website. The PET was scheduled to start on 9 December 2024. Each candidate’s own admit card was to specify their assigned date, time and venue; the overall start date did not mean every candidate would attend on that day.

How candidates were told to access the admit card
A contemporaneous Scroll report dated 21 November 2024 summarized the online steps below. CSBC’s official notice confirms the website route and release time, but its accessible text does not specify which login fields candidates had to enter.
- Visit the CSBC website.
- Choose the Bihar Police Constable PET admit-card link.
- Enter the requested login details and submit.
- Check the candidate details, then download the admit card and print it for reference.

What candidates needed to know about collection and attendance
Duplicate admit-card arrangement
CSBC said it would not send admit cards by post. A candidate unable to download the e-admit card could collect a duplicate at the CSBC office, 5 Harding Road, Patna, on 5 or 6 December 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The notice said this would be at the candidate’s own expense.
PET attendance and document verification
Candidates were instructed to attend on the date assigned to them. Document verification was scheduled for the PET day; the notice did not describe a separate second verification opportunity. It listed the admit card, valid photo identification, original education documents, applicable category or other certificates, and a set of self-attested photocopies. Which certificates applied depended on the individual candidate’s category and circumstances, so the recruitment advertisement and official notice are the references for the relevant document requirements.

The notice named running, shot put and high jump, along with prescribed measurements. Candidates had to pass each event and measurement separately. It directed candidates to the recruitment advertisement for the applicable standards; the notice summarized here does not provide the numeric standards, so none should be inferred from this announcement alone.
