This is a historical guide to the U.S.-framed 2024 holiday promotion, not a live deals page. Xbox announced $50 off select Xbox Series X|S consoles and more than 1,000 games on sale; the announcement did not identify every qualifying model, game, price, or retailer offer.
What Xbox announced for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2024
On November 15, 2024, Xbox published a seasonal announcement titled “Black Friday: $50 Off Select Xbox Series X|S Consoles, 1,000+ Games on Sale, and More!” The title and announcement framed the promotions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Xbox Wire’s announcement is the primary source for the offer claims.
- Consoles: Xbox said there was $50 off select Xbox Series X|S consoles. “Select” matters: this was not a claim that every model or configuration qualified.
- Games: Xbox advertised more than 1,000 games on sale. That is the count in Xbox’s headline, not an independently audited total, and the announcement material available here does not itemize every title or discount.
Where the seasonal savings were promoted
Microsoft Devices Blog also promoted Black Friday and Cyber Week savings through the Microsoft Store, including Xbox consoles and accessories, and pointed readers toward participating retailers. Its coverage establishes those shopping channels and categories, but not a complete, itemized list of products, retailer prices, or stock. Microsoft Devices Blog’s holiday coverage is useful for that broader context.
Controllers and rechargeable battery packs are examples of relevant Xbox accessory categories, but the available comparison result does not establish a particular Cyber Monday price for either. The 2024 comparison spreadsheet should not be treated as proof of an exact sale price.

What the available evidence can—and cannot—rank
The announcement supports a broad summary of the promotion, but not a retailer-by-retailer “cheapest Xbox Series X” ranking. It does not provide enough comparable offer detail to establish individual final prices, stock status, or end dates. Those details should not be inferred from the $50 headline discount.
For a historical comparison, an offer would need to be matched on model and storage configuration, retailer, final price, availability, and promotion end date. Accessories also require a compatibility check and a verified sale price. Without those comparable records, naming a single best-priced console or accessory would be unsupported.

How to use this guide today
All prices and availability tied to the 2024 promotion are historical. Do not assume a discount remains active or attach a current listing to language suggesting that it is part of the 2024 sale. If checking an archived retailer listing, confirm the product configuration and date as well as the displayed price; a current listing is a separate offer.
