The best part-time job site depends on the work you want: start with Indeed for broad listings, add Snagajob for hourly and shift-based jobs, and consider FlexJobs if you’re looking for remote or flexible work and are willing to pay for access. LinkedIn Jobs is another option for professional roles. Since listings vary by location and change over time, compare the actual jobs—not just the platform names.

Best part-time job sites at a glance

Site Best fit What to know
Indeed Broad searches for part-time work Search by keyword and location, then filter by pay, remote work, job type, experience, and posting date. The available listings depend on location and can change. Indeed part-time jobs
Snagajob Hourly, local, and shift-based work Its site features local and part-time jobs, profiles, matching, and applications. Snagajob
FlexJobs Remote or flexible work Full access is subscription-based. FlexJobs says it screens listings; that is the provider’s claim, not independent certification. FlexJobs
LinkedIn Jobs Professional roles and a broad-market search A 2026 comparison includes LinkedIn as a general-purpose option. Official LinkedIn job-search details were not independently checked for this comparison. 2026 job-site comparison

Which job site should you use?

Start with Indeed for a broad search

Indeed is a practical first stop if you want to see a range of part-time roles in a particular area. Enter a job title or skill and location, then use the available filters to narrow results. Check the posting date and the details on each listing: inventory, pay, and availability are location-dependent and may change.

Add Snagajob for hourly or shift-based work

If your search is centered on hourly work, local openings, or shifts, include Snagajob alongside a broad job board. Its homepage displays local and part-time listings and offers a profile and application features. Use the site to find leads, then confirm the shift, hours, and application instructions in the individual posting.

Consider FlexJobs for remote or flexible roles

FlexJobs focuses on remote and flexible jobs and provides search resources. Full access is subscription-based, so weigh the fee against the kinds of roles you need and the listings you can actually use. The company says its team spends “200+ hours/day verifying every online job”; treat that as a provider-published claim rather than an independent measure of listing quality.

Use LinkedIn Jobs as another professional-search option

LinkedIn is included as a broad-market job-search option in a 2026 comparison. It may be worth checking when you’re looking for professional roles, but the platform’s current part-time search features were not independently verified here. Compare its live results with listings on other sites rather than assuming it will have more suitable openings.

How to compare part-time listings

A platform can help you find openings, but the individual posting determines whether a job fits. Before applying, compare:

  • Role and industry: Check that the duties and required experience match what you want to do.
  • Location and commute: Confirm the worksite and whether the listed location is practical for you.
  • Hours and schedule: Look for specific weekly hours, shift times, and any stated flexibility. “Part-time” alone does not establish a schedule that suits you.
  • Work arrangement: Verify whether the job is remote, hybrid, or in person, and whether any remote eligibility conditions are clear.
  • Pay: Check whether compensation is stated and how it is described. If the listing leaves important pay details unclear, seek clarification before proceeding.
  • Application route and employer: Confirm that the employer and application instructions in the posting match the destination where you are asked to apply.
  • Job-seeker fees: Check whether the service charges for access. FlexJobs, for example, describes full access as subscription-based.

Listings and platform features change, and the reviewed sources do not establish an independent accuracy audit across these sites. Treat a result as a lead to verify, not a guarantee of current availability, legitimacy, an interview, or a job offer.

A simple search plan

  1. Search broadly: On Indeed, enter your target role and location, select part-time work, and narrow results with relevant filters.
  2. Search by work pattern: Add Snagajob if you want local hourly or shift-based jobs. Add FlexJobs if remote or flexible work is a priority and subscription access makes sense for you.
  3. Cross-check professional roles: Search LinkedIn Jobs as another general-purpose option, then compare the actual openings across sites.
  4. Review each posting: Check its date, duties, location, schedule, arrangement, pay details, employer, application route, and any fee before applying.

Why there is no single best site for everyone

A 2026 comparison by the Upwork Team puts the point simply: “There isn’t one best website for every job search.” The right shortlist depends on your occupation, location, schedule, work arrangement, and tolerance for paid access. Search results—not a site’s general reputation—show whether it currently has jobs that fit your needs.
