A more useful choice depends on what you want to build or display: botanical models, animal-themed art, or another adult-oriented theme. LEGO announced several adult sets for 2025, including three Botanicals sets available from January 1 and two releases announced for June 1. For current prices and stock, check the exact set listing in your country; the launch announcements do not establish what remains available in 2026.
How to choose an adult LEGO set
LEGO’s adult range is marked 18+ and includes complex builds, collectibles, and models intended for display. That is the company’s product positioning, not an independent measure of difficulty or a guarantee that every adult will find a set challenging. LEGO groups adult interests across areas such as entertainment, art and design, travel and history, science and technology, nature and animals, and vehicles; Botanicals and Architecture are among its display-oriented categories. Browse LEGO’s adult categories.
- Start with the interest: Choose a theme the recipient enjoys, such as plants, art, vehicles, architecture, or a film or entertainment property.
- Decide how it will be used: A display model, gift, collectible, and longer building project can call for different choices. Treat “complex” and “for display” as LEGO’s framing, rather than a third-party build-quality rating.
- Check the specific set: Confirm its age label, piece count, and dimensions on the individual product listing. The launch information for the examples below does not provide piece counts, so they are not a reliable basis for comparing build scale.
- Set a budget using live listings: Prices and stock vary by seller and market. Do not assume a historical catalog price or launch promotion is still current.
Notable adult-oriented LEGO releases announced for 2025
These are sourced examples, not a complete list of 2025 releases or a ranked quality comparison. LEGO’s January 2025 US catalog included adult-marked LEGO Icons and LEGO Botanicals sections, indicating a range of adult categories, but it does not make the examples below a definitive “best of” list. Where to buy LEGO sets online
Start with LEGO.com’s adult category or search its store for the exact set name. LEGO’s announcement named LEGO.com and LEGO Stores among the channels for the January Botanicals sets, while also mentioning other retailers generally; it did not name a specific retailer for each product. The official adult category is a browsing route, not a guarantee that a particular set is currently listed or in stock.
Third-party retailers and marketplaces may also have listings, but verify the details before paying. A marketplace listing is not necessarily sold by LEGO or an official LEGO store.

What the 2025 announcements cannot tell you
The announcements and catalog establish examples, audience framing, and launch timing; they do not establish current prices, promotions, stock, or whether a named set remains available in October 2026. They also do not provide a comprehensive list of every 2025 adult release or comparative build tests. Treat any recommendation as a match to your interests, not a verified ranking of quality or value.
