Best Products’ Sidney Lee published a roundup titled “45 Labor Day Deals All in One Place: Shop Sales from Major Retailers” on Aug. 28, 2025. The headline counted 45 deals. USA TODAY’s Sept. 1 coverage reported discounts of up to 80% across categories; that was the article’s broad maximum, not a typical saving or an independently audited measure.

For a current or future sale, evaluate the actual offer rather than relying on an old roundup’s percentage-off headline. Check:
- Exact product and model: Confirm the generation, size, configuration, and included accessories match what you intend to buy.
- Final checkout price: Include shipping, taxes where applicable, and any required code or membership. A headline discount may not apply to every buyer.
- Reference price: Compare the sale price with a credible recent price for the same model, not just a retailer’s displayed list price.
- Offer deadline and stock: Verify the deal’s end date and whether the item is actually available.
- Shipping and returns: Review delivery timing, return window, restocking fees, and any exclusions before placing the order.
The 2025 roundups included different retailers, products, and promotion windows, so their historical discount figures alone cannot tell a shopper which live offer is best in 2026.
