The best George Foreman grill depends on how many people you cook for and how much cleanup and counter space you can manage. For a compact two-serving grill, consider the GR012F-1BGX; for removable dishwasher-safe plates, look at the GRP1065BX or GRS6090BX; and for a larger indoor/outdoor setup, the GFO201R is a different class of product. These are recommendations based on manufacturer specifications, not hands-on or independent comparative testing.
Compare the George Foreman grills by household and use
George Foreman’s product pages describe countertop models for two to five servings, plus a Contact Smokeless model listed for four to six servings and larger indoor/outdoor grills. Serving counts are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not a guarantee of how much food will fit for a particular meal.

Which model should you choose?
For one or two people and tight storage: GR012F-1BGX
This is the smallest listed countertop option at two servings. George Foreman Cooking says its design uses up to 34% less storage space than the GR10B by height. The same page advertises up to 50% better searing than the GR040. Both are manufacturer comparisons, not independent test results. The model also has an adjustable angle and a removable, dishwasher-safe drip tray.

For five servings on a simpler fixed-plate grill: GRS075BX
The GRS075BX has 75 square inches of cooking surface, fixed plates and an adjustable angle for grilling or panini. Its page says it takes up to 28% less space than the GR350VB by height. That is a manufacturer-stated comparison; the page does not provide a general footprint figure here.
For the most straightforward plate cleanup: GRP1065BX
Its removable plates and drip tray are dishwasher-safe, which makes it a practical choice if washing fixed plates over a sink is a drawback. George Foreman Cooking says it heats up 35% faster than the GRP004B. Treat that as a product-page comparison, not a measured result that predicts your cooking time.

For adjustable heat and a five-serving capacity: GRECV075BX
This five-serving submersible model has variable temperature control. To clean it, the manufacturer says to remove the control panel, then wash the remaining components in the dishwasher or sink. Its “30% faster preheat” claim is compared with the GRP2841R and is not an independent performance finding.
For a larger indoor countertop surface: GRS6090BX
The Contact Smokeless Ready is listed at 90 square inches and four to six servings, with removable dishwasher-safe plates and variable temperature control. George Foreman Cooking advertises up to 85% less smoke than a George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill. It also advertises up to 50% fat removal using a quarter-pound uncooked 80/20 ground-chuck comparison. These are conditional manufacturer claims, not independent findings or a promise about every food or cooking method.

- EASY CLEAN SUBMERSIBLE GRILL: Dishwasher-safe design for easy cleanup—remove the control panel and wash all parts. Avoid aerosol sprays to maintain nonstick efficiency.
- FAST HEAT-UP & ADJUSTABLE HINGE: Preheats 30% faster* for quick meals. The 3/4" hinge adjusts to thick foods; ensure even thickness for perfect browning (*vs. GRP0004B).
- DURABLE NONSTICK COATING: 3X tougher nonstick plates* for easy grilling and cleanup, lasting durability, and no oil needed (*vs. standard George Tough coating).
- COMPACT DESIGN & EASY STORAGE: Space-saving vertical storage—same 4-serving size with 35% less counter space* (*vs. GRP1060B).
- FAMILY SIZE GRILL: Cook up to 4 servings at once, perfect for family meals, sandwiches, burgers, and more.
For group cooking: choose an indoor/outdoor model
The GFO201R is listed for 12 or more servings and has 200 square inches of surface, a removable stand and a probe with five temperature settings. Its page advertises up to 42% fat reduction from a quarter-pound of uncooked 80/20 ground chuck. A separate 15-serving indoor/outdoor model has a removable stand, domed lid and adjustable temperature. These are larger setups rather than compact countertop grills; check the individual product listing for dimensions and included components before buying.
What to check before buying online
- Match the model number. Similar-looking grills can differ in serving capacity, plate construction and temperature controls. Confirm the exact model number in the listing and on the product details.
- Choose cleanup features deliberately. Removable plates are not universal. The GRS075BX has fixed plates, while the GRP1065BX and GRS6090BX have removable dishwasher-safe plates. For the GRECV075BX, the control panel must be removed before washing the remaining components.
- Check the space and setup. Confirm the grill’s dimensions, storage needs and whether a stand is part of the package, especially for indoor/outdoor models.
- Verify warranty terms and included parts. A product-page mention of a three-year limited warranty is not a substitute for the model-specific terms. Confirm what is covered and retain the purchase documentation.
- Compare the total purchase cost. No current prices, retailer stock or shipping terms are established here, so compare the delivered price and return policy at the time you order rather than relying on an old listing.
Cleaning and replacement parts
George Foreman Cooking’s FAQ says: “Unplug and allow your grill to cool before cleaning.” It recommends washing plates and drip trays after each use. If plates need scrubbing, the FAQ advises soaking heavily soiled plates in warm soapy water and using a nylon or other nonmetallic pad. Follow the manual for your exact model, particularly before putting any component in a dishwasher.

- Wash the Entire Grill¹: For a complete clean, remove the control panel and place all additional components in the dishwasher. ¹ Remove control panel to wash grill
- Fast Heat-Up: 30% faster preheat* for quick and easy meals. * vs. George Foreman Grill GRP2841R
- Advanced George Tough Nonstick Coating: 3X more durable** nonstick coated grill plates. **Compared to standard George Tough non-stick coating
- Variable Temperature Control: Features an adjustable dial for more precise cooking.
- Family Size Grill: Allows up to 5 servings.
Replacement parts are model-specific. The GFO201 manual identifies a temperature-control probe as part #22866 and a grill plate as part #22873GP for that model family. Do not assume those parts fit other grills; confirm compatibility with the full model number before ordering.

Figures such as “faster preheat,” smoke reduction, searing and fat reduction come from George Foreman product-page marketing. Their comparison baselines and conditions differ by model, so they are not interchangeable measures of grill quality. The cited product information does not establish independent comparative test results. Use the capacity, plate design, controls and footprint as the firmer decision points.
