The Verge search result stated: “Every Best Buy store will have Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on July 17th.” It was dated July 14, 2025, and credited to Brandt Ranj. The wording does not establish whether “have” meant walk-in stock, a restock, or another way to obtain a console. Nor does it independently prove that every store had stock on that date.
What Best Buy officially confirmed
Best Buy’s May 29, 2025, announcement concerned the Switch 2’s June 5 launch, not the reported July 17 availability. The company said nearly all U.S. stores planned to open at 12:01 a.m. ET for pre-order pickup and limited walk-in purchases.
