That was a dated seasonal offer reported on November 9, 2020—not confirmation that the same delivery promise is available in 2026. What Best Buy announced for the 2020 holidays
On November 9, 2020, MobileSyrup reported that Best Buy Canada was offering next-day delivery in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, with two-day shipping nationally for the holiday season. MobileSyrup’s report framed the faster service as a seasonal shipping push.
A January 2021 Best Buy vendor newsletter also described an improved national two-day shipping promise and next-day delivery in the same three cities. The two sources support the cities and broad shipping claims, but do not establish exactly which postal codes or products qualified.
What the announcement did not specify
The 2020 report and the January 2021 newsletter do not establish a daily order cutoff, eligible postal codes, product exclusions or an end date for the offer. Those details should not be inferred from the general delivery promise.

How to check delivery timing for a current order
Best Buy Canada’s current help information describes a separate, address- and order-dependent process. Its TForce expedited-shipping page says deliveries are set up for next-day delivery, usually between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time. It advises customers to use the tracking number for an estimated date; shipping partners are selected automatically based on the fastest routes in the customer’s area. This guidance does not guarantee next-day delivery for every item or address, and it does not show that the 2020 holiday offer continues unchanged.
- Check the product page’s estimated delivery date for your location.
- Review the delivery estimate at checkout for the selected item and seller.
- After ordering, use the tracking number for the latest estimated date.
Best Buy says delivery dates can change because of inventory updates, shipping-method changes or carrier availability. Marketplace sellers may have different timelines from Best Buy. Its shipping questions page explains these variables; the retailer’s 2017 holiday guidance also pointed shoppers to the product page’s location-based estimated delivery date.

It says free shipping applies to Best Buy products on BestBuy.ca over $35 before taxes, fees and promo codes when shipped by Standard Delivery. Listed exceptions include Marketplace items, large items requiring scheduled delivery, some air-delivery locations and Geek Squad Services. These standard-shipping conditions do not establish eligibility for expedited or next-day delivery.
