- Hole 26CN079: 41 metres at 14.5 grams of gold per tonne from 260 metres.
- Hole 26CN064: 75 metres at 2.3 g/t Au from 253 metres.
- Hole 26CN074: 39 metres at 3.6 g/t Au from 186 metres, including 8 metres at 15.6 g/t Au from 192 metres.
- Hole 26CN073: 62 metres at 2.5 g/t Au from 179 metres, within a broader 102 metres at 1.7 g/t Au.
These are company-reported drill-hole intervals from the 3 August release, not an independent assessment of the deposit’s size or commercial prospects. Benz interpreted the higher-grade results as associated with northeast-plunging fold hinges. That is the company’s geological interpretation, not independent confirmation.
CEO Mark Lynch-Staunton said, “What excites us at Icon is that every new drill line seems to reveal more of the system.” The comment conveys management’s view; it does not substitute for a resource estimate or independent validation.

What milestones did Benz outline?
In its August exploration release, Benz said drilling would continue across Hurricane, Icon and Thunderbolt to complete baseline drilling ahead of a planned maiden resource in the first half of 2027. This is a company target and schedule, not a completed resource; timelines and plans can change.
The company’s announcement archive and the ASX listing also show a 24 August announcement titled “$150M PLACEMENT TO ACCELERATE GLENBURGH MAIDEN RESOURCE,” an annual report dated 31 August, and July 2026 financial and management reports dated 14 September. Those listings establish that the announcements were published, but their headlines alone do not establish placement terms, dilution, cash runway, or subsequent share issuance.

To assess whether the decline reflects a broader change in sentiment or company-specific news, compare like with like across the same listing and period. The available evidence does not resolve these factors for the 2 October move:
- TSXV:BZ’s daily and multiweek performance, including trading activity.
- Company announcements and any financing or share issuance around the date.
- Gold-price movement over the same interval.
- Exploration progress, keeping drill assays distinct from a formal resource estimate.
