No reliable current figure for Benny Hinn’s personal net worth is established by the available sources. An estimate of roughly $60 million appears online, but it is not supported by primary financial records in the sources reviewed. Historical reports about Hinn’s earnings and his ministry’s revenue measure different things and cannot verify his net worth.
Is Benny Hinn’s net worth really $60 million?
The approximately $60 million figure is an unverified online estimate, not a documented calculation of Hinn’s assets minus liabilities. A general biography page repeated the estimate as of 2024 but did not provide primary financial documentation adequate to confirm it. A figure appearing on a biography site does not, by itself, establish personal wealth.
What is known about Hinn’s earnings?
A 2003 Los Angeles Times profile reported that Hinn told CNN in 1997 that he earned between $500,000 and $1 million annually, including book royalties. Benny Hinn Ministries says its board sets Hinn’s compensation and regards his total compensation as private. Why ministry revenue is not personal net worth
The same Los Angeles Times report said Hinn disclosed that his church took in $89 million in 2002. That is a historical organization-level receipts figure—not Hinn’s personal income, the value of ministry assets he owns, or a measure of his net worth. The report quoted him saying, “When it comes to the income of the ministry, I have no problem talking about it or what happens to the money.” It also said he later backed away from making the general financial picture available, saying his board would not allow it. What public financial records can—and cannot—show
MinistryWatch’s 2025 article lists Hinn among ministry leaders whose related ministries withhold Form 990s. The IRS instructions explain that filing requirements vary and that certain religious organizations are excepted from filing. Benny Hinn Ministries’ accountability page also reproduces a sentence from an IRS letter stating that the ministry continued to qualify as a tax-exempt religious 501(c)(3) organization and as a church.
