What posts did BEL advertise in 2024?
The temporary project positions were associated with BEL’s Homeland Security and Smart City Business SBU in Uttar Pradesh. The advertisement said applicants should be willing to travel across India and reserved BEL’s right to vary the number of posts according to its requirements. These are distinct job functions within the same recruitment notice, not interchangeable titles. Applicants needed to check the discipline and role requirements for the specific post they sought.
Who was eligible?
Education and discipline
The notice required a full-time qualification from a recognized university in the discipline specified for the role. Depending on the position, accepted qualifications included engineering degrees in fields such as IT, computer science, electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as MCA or MSc in Computer Science/IT for some roles. Age limits
Age was reckoned as of 1 October 2024. The upper limits for General/EWS candidates were:

BEL specified post-qualification industrial experience relevant to each role. It excluded teaching, academic, research, nonprofit and internship experience from the relevant experience count.

How did selection work?
All four categories included a written test. BEL did not specify a written-test syllabus in this advertisement, so no subject breakdown should be assumed from the notice.

BEL’s official recruitment page subsequently listed Project Engineer-I candidates for interview following a written test held on 28 December 2024. That notice confirms progression to the interview stage for that post, but it does not establish final joining outcomes across all four categories.

Online registration ran from 6 November through 24 November 2024. The drive is closed; its application route is not an open opportunity. Applications had to be submitted online through the link associated with the advertisement on BEL’s official website. BEL did not accept hard-copy or other application modes, and the notice said submitted information could not be changed.

The application required supporting documents as applicable, including proof of education, age, category and experience, as well as payment documentation where relevant. The advertised charges were:

Payment was specified through SBI Collect. PwBD, SC and ST candidates were exempt from the application fee, and fees were non-refundable. These charges apply to the 2024 notice only.
How can applicants avoid recruitment fraud?
Check recruitment claims against BEL’s official website and the relevant advertisement. BEL says it does not collect money beyond the application fee specified in the notice, and the 2024 advertisement states that it does not demand or charge a fee or request money deposits at any recruitment stage other than that application fee. Do not pay a person or agency for an interview or appointment.
