The Beats Studio Pro were advertised on Amazon for $169.95 during Prime Day on July 18, 2024, down from a listed $349.99. That was $180.04 off, or about 51.4%—slightly more than half off the list price. The promotion is historical, not a currently verified offer; similar discounts have returned, but each was a separate, date-limited sale.
What the Prime Day deal actually was
Android Headlines reported the $169.95 Amazon price on July 18, 2024, the second and final day of Prime Day, and described the deal as ending soon. The arithmetic supports “half off”: $169.95 is $5.05 below half of $349.99. The reference figure is the listed price, however, not proof that shoppers typically paid $349.99 immediately before the event.
Android Headlines’ July 18, 2024 deal coverage documents that promotion. It does not establish the listing’s seller, condition, color availability, return terms, warranty eligibility, or whether Prime membership was required.
This is not a live deal alert. Beats’ product page listed the Studio Pro at $349.99 in the information available as of August 16, 2026, but that does not verify the old Amazon offer. Separate coverage reported later sale prices around $170 in October 2025 and $169.95 or $150 in 2026. Those are distinct promotions, not evidence that the 2024 listing remains available. Check the retailer’s current price, seller, condition, and terms before buying.

What made the headphones appealing around $170
The Studio Pro are over-ear wireless headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC), Transparency mode, and Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking. They support Bluetooth, USB-C audio, and a 3.5mm analog connection, so they can serve both wireless listeners and people who want a wired option.
Battery life depends on listening mode
Beats rates battery life at up to 40 hours with ANC and Transparency turned off, or up to 24 hours with either mode enabled. Its Fast Fuel claim is up to four hours of playback from a 10-minute charge. These are manufacturer ratings, not a guarantee for every listening volume or use pattern.

- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
USB-C is also an audio connection
The USB-C port supports lossless audio and three selectable sound profiles; it is not only for charging. The separate 3.5mm input provides another wired option. Beats lists the headphones at 260 g and includes a carrying case, USB-C-to-USB-C cable, 3.5mm cable, and documentation. A USB-C power adapter is not included. See Beats’ Studio Pro specifications for the manufacturer’s full feature and box-content details.
Apple and Android support
Beats lists features for both platforms, but the experiences are not identical. Apple users get one-touch pairing across iCloud devices, Hey Siri, Find My, and automatic software updates. Android users get Google Fast Pair, Audio Switch, Find My Device, and support through the Beats app. Do not assume an Android phone receives every Apple-specific convenience.

Trade-offs to weigh before buying
- No automatic wearer detection: The headphones do not automatically pause playback when you take them off, according to later deal coverage.
- Multipoint is a limitation: They do not offer universal multipoint Bluetooth behavior across non-Apple devices, which matters if you regularly switch between a work computer and phone.
- Fit is personal: UltraPlush engineered-leather cushions and adjustable metal sliders are part of the design, but later coverage noted that the earcups can feel small for some people. Try them on if fit is a concern.
- ANC is not a universal best-in-class claim: The Studio Pro have adaptive ANC, but the available deal reporting does not establish that they outperform every Bose, Sony, or Apple model.
- The strongest value case depends on a discount: At roughly $170–$180, the feature set is compelling for the price. At $349.99, compare more carefully with premium alternatives.
For the missing multipoint and wearer-detection features, see TechRadar’s later deal coverage. The original $349.99 list price and sale math should not be mistaken for a verified historical street-price comparison.
Who the Studio Pro deal suited
- Commuters and travelers who want over-ear headphones with ANC and Transparency.
- Apple users who value Apple ecosystem conveniences but do not want to pay AirPods Max prices.
- Android users looking for Beats headphones with platform-specific Google features rather than an Apple-only product.
- Wired listeners who want both USB-C lossless playback and a 3.5mm connection.
- Budget-conscious shoppers willing to trade some premium conveniences for a much lower sale price.
When another pair may make more sense
Choose by priority rather than assuming one alternative is best for everyone. Prices change, and the comparisons below are about the kind of shopper each option suits—not a claim about current sale prices.
Rank #4
| Priority | Alternative to consider | Why it may fit better |
|---|---|---|
| Apple’s premium headphone ecosystem | Apple AirPods Max | A more premium Apple-oriented option if you are willing to spend substantially more; historical coverage contrasted it with the Beats using a $549 AirPods Max price. |
| Comfort and noise cancellation | Bose QuietComfort Ultra | A premium alternative for buyers prioritizing comfort and ANC over keeping the price near $170. |
| App controls and multipoint | Sony WH-1000XM line | Worth considering if extensive app controls, advanced customization, and multipoint are key requirements. No current Sony model or price is established here. |
| Lower-cost ANC | Anker Soundcore Space Q45 | A lower-cost direction for shoppers focused on ANC and long battery life; historical pricing should not be read as a current offer. |
| On-ear fit and longer rated battery life | Beats Solo 4 | Better aligned with buyers who prefer on-ear headphones. It does not match the Studio Pro’s over-ear design and ANC positioning; Beats lists the Solo 4 at a $199.99 original price. |
How to judge a similar sale
A future price near $170–$180 would be in the range of several reported promotions, but that does not make it the lowest price ever or guarantee the terms of the July 2024 deal. Before ordering, confirm the exact model and color, new condition, seller, fulfillment, return policy, warranty eligibility, and whether the price requires Prime membership or a coupon. A listing’s displayed reference price alone does not establish typical street pricing.
If the Studio Pro suit your needs and a verified listing is around $170–$180, the discount makes a strong value case. Near the $349.99 list price, compare alternatives against your priorities—especially fit, ANC, multipoint, and automatic pausing—before committing.
