Bank of Baroda advertised 146 fixed-term professional vacancies in 2025, including 101 Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) posts. The original application deadline of April 15 was extended to April 25, 2025, according to Scroll’s update. That window has closed; this is a summary of the historical notice, not an open application opportunity.

What the 2025 Bank of Baroda recruitment covered

Advertisement BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2025/03 invited applications for contractual positions in Defence Banking and Wealth Management Services. Registration opened March 26, 2025. The Bank’s advertisement stated 146 vacancies and reserved the right to change the number according to its requirements. These were fixed-term professional roles, not general regular-basis recruitment.

Scroll reported that the initial April 15 deadline was deferred to April 25, 2025. The application period is now over. The notice does not establish how many vacancies were ultimately filled.

Eligibility depended on the role

The eligibility cut-off date in the advertisement was March 1, 2025. Qualifications, experience and age limits varied by post, so there was no single eligibility rule for all 146 vacancies. Consult the relevant post in the Bank of Baroda Current Opportunities notice for exact criteria and category-based age relaxations.

Education and specialist requirements

A bachelor’s degree was required for Deputy Defence Banking Advisor, Private Banker and Product Head. The Private Banker and Product Head sections described a full-time postgraduate management degree or diploma and relevant NISM/IRDA-type regulatory certifications as desirable, rather than mandatory.

Deputy Defence Banking Advisor was intended for retired officials who had held specified senior ranks in the Indian Army or Indian Air Force. Applicants should check the advertisement’s precise rank and service conditions.

Experience and age examples

Experience requirements were specific to each job. For example, an SRM applicant needed at least three years as a Relationship Manager in wealth management with specified types of financial institutions. A Territory Head needed at least six years in wealth-management relationship management, including at least two years as a team lead. A Group Head needed ten years in relevant wealth management, retail banking or investment sales, including five years managing a regional team.

The advertisement also set role-specific age bands. Examples include 24–35 years for SRM and 27–40 years for Territory Head. These examples are not substitutes for the relevant post’s full criteria or applicable relaxations.

Compensation, locations and contract term

The notice described compensation as indicative annual compensation, not guaranteed take-home pay or a final offer. Across the listed positions, the stated figures ranged from ₹6 lakh to ₹28 lakh a year.

Post Indicative annual compensation stated in the advertisement
Portfolio Research Analyst ₹6 lakh–₹10 lakh
Senior Relationship Manager ₹8 lakh–₹14 lakh
Wealth Strategist (Investment & Insurance) ₹12 lakh–₹20 lakh
Group Head ₹16 lakh–₹28 lakh
Deputy Defence Banking Advisor ₹18 lakh

The advertisement listed posting locations by position, but also said selected candidates could be transferred to any branch or office in India. Its wording was: “Only Candidates willing to serve anywhere in India, should apply.”

The initial engagement was for three years or until the candidate reached age 62, whichever came first. The Bank could renew it one year at a time, up to a maximum total term of five years, subject to satisfactory performance and the Bank’s discretion.

How the application and selection process was set out

Applications were to be submitted online through the Bank’s Careers / Current Opportunities route. The notice required applicants to upload biodata, a photograph, a signature and documents supporting eligibility, including education and work experience; it also requested recent salary information. The stated fee was non-refundable and excluded applicable taxes and payment gateway charges:

Applicant category Application fee before applicable taxes and gateway charges
General, EWS and OBC ₹600

Payment modes specified in the notice included debit card, credit card, internet banking and UPI.
