Bank of Baroda’s 2025 recruitment for 4,000 apprentice seats is closed. Applications ran from 19 February to 11 March 2025, and the bank’s careers listing later posted a final-result notification dated 30 April 2025. The notice covered a 12-month training programme, with monthly stipends of ₹15,000 in metro/urban branches and ₹12,000 in rural/semi-urban branches. Apprentices were trainees, not bank employees, and the notice did not promise a job after training.

Is Bank of Baroda apprentice recruitment 2025 still open?

No. The application window ended on 11 March 2025. Bank of Baroda’s official careers listing shows a final-result notification for this recruitment dated 30 April 2025, so this is a completed recruitment cycle, not an open application opportunity. The bank advertised 4,000 seats; that figure is the vacancy count in the notice, not a confirmed count of apprentices ultimately engaged. Bank of Baroda careers listing.

What were the eligibility requirements?

The notice assessed eligibility as of 1 February 2025. Candidates needed to meet the age and education conditions and register with the relevant apprenticeship portal before applying.

Age limit

The advertised age range was 20 to 28 years as of 1 February 2025, subject to the Government of India’s stated category-based relaxations. The notice also specified an under-34 condition for candidates registered on NAPS by the cutoff date. Applicants needed to consult the full notice for the applicable relaxation and portal conditions rather than assume that the general age range applied without exception.

Education and apprenticeship registration

Candidates needed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. NATS candidates had to have completed graduation within the four years preceding 1 February 2025. The process required registration on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and/or nats.education.gov.in, as applicable, before completing the application process.

Prior apprenticeship or work experience

The advertisement excluded candidates who had already completed or were currently pursuing an apprenticeship, and candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after obtaining their educational qualification, subject to the notice’s stated conditions. How were the 4,000 seats distributed?

Seats were allocated by state or Union Territory and category; this was not a single nationwide posting from which candidates could choose any location. The largest state totals in the notice included:

State Advertised seats
Gujarat 573
Uttar Pradesh 558
Karnataka 537
Maharashtra 388
Rajasthan 320

Candidates could apply in one state only. The first district preference was based on the home district in the address on the candidate’s Aadhaar. If no seat was available there, the candidate had to provide two additional district preferences from the locations with vacancies. The notice’s state, district and category allocations determined which choices were available.

What was the selection process?

The advertised selection process involved these stages:

  1. Online examination: Candidates took the online test specified in the recruitment process.
  2. Document verification: Shortlisted candidates had to produce documents supporting their eligibility. Travel costs for verification were the candidate’s responsibility.
  3. Local-language test, where applicable: Candidates had to demonstrate proficiency in the language specified for their chosen state unless exempted. A 10th- or 12th-standard marksheet showing that the candidate studied the applicable local language qualified for the stated exemption. Travel for this test was also at the candidate’s own expense.
  4. Medical fitness: Engagement was subject to meeting the medical-fitness requirement.

The application process included registration on the relevant apprenticeship portal, submission through the process indicated by BFSI SSC, and payment of the applicable fee. The notice said an application was complete only after the fee was deposited and advised applicants to retain the acknowledgment number and a copy of the application.

What were the stipend and training terms?

The advertised training period was 12 months. Monthly stipend depended on the branch location:

Branch location Advertised monthly stipend
Metro or urban ₹15,000
Rural or semi-urban ₹12,000

The amounts were subject to adjustment for loss of pay, if any. The notice listed no other allowances or benefits. A final assessment was to take place before an apprenticeship certificate was issued.

Did the apprenticeship guarantee a Bank of Baroda job?

No. The advertisement described the participants as apprentices in training, not regular or contractual employees, and said the bank was not obligated to offer employment during or after the apprenticeship. Bank of Baroda’s notice stated: “This is neither an employment in the Bank nor a contract employment in the Bank.” Completing the programme therefore did not itself guarantee a permanent role or a later job offer.
