Forex scams often use professional-looking websites, account dashboards, social-media “analysts,” and promises of managed profits. The decisive test is not how polished the brand appears. It is whether you can match the broker to an active licence in the regulator’s own database, understand where your money is held, and withdraw without paying a new fee to unlock existing funds.
What would make AZ Trades legitimate?
A credible broker should identify the exact company operating the service—not just use a trading name. Before opening an account, look for:
- the full legal company name;
- the company’s registration number and registered address;
- the regulator and licence number;
- the permitted services, such as dealing on behalf of clients or dealing as principal;
- the countries in which the licence allows it to accept retail customers; and
- a written complaints and withdrawal policy.
Then verify those details independently. Type the regulator’s address into your browser rather than relying on a link supplied by a salesperson. Search the regulator’s register for the legal entity and compare the authorised website, email addresses, telephone numbers, and domain names. A scammer can copy a real firm’s name, licence number, or logo in what regulators call a clone firm.

If AZ Trades cannot provide an identifiable legal entity and a regulator entry that matches its website, it should be treated as unverified. “Registered company,” “licensed platform,” and “regulated broker” are not interchangeable claims. A company may be registered to conduct ordinary business without being authorised to offer forex or CFD services.
Check the regulator, not the marketing
The level of protection depends on the jurisdiction and the exact legal entity behind the account. Examples of official verification routes include:

A regulator listing does not guarantee profits or eliminate trading risk. It does, however, provide a way to identify the authorised company and the rules that apply. An offshore registration, a private “certificate,” or a licence from an obscure authority may provide considerably less protection than authorisation in the customer’s own country.

Warning signs to look for
Do not fund an AZ Trades account if any of these situations apply:
- Guaranteed or unusually consistent returns. Forex and CFD trading involve losses. Claims that profits are guaranteed, passive, or risk-free are not credible.
- Pressure to deposit quickly. A countdown, limited “VIP” allocation, or adviser insisting that you act today is a sales tactic, not evidence of quality.
- Unsolicited contact. Be particularly cautious if the offer began with a social-media message, dating-app conversation, encrypted chat, or an unexpected call.
- Requests for remote access. No legitimate trading explanation requires an unknown caller to control your computer or phone through AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or similar software.
- Crypto-only funding. Cryptocurrency transfers are difficult to reverse and can make recovery much harder. They deserve extra scrutiny.
- Unclear spreads, leverage, or fees. A broker should publish the spread or commission, overnight financing, inactivity charges, and withdrawal rules before you deposit.
- Withdrawal conditions that appear after funding. New turnover requirements, “taxes,” insurance payments, security deposits, or account-upgrade fees are major red flags.
The most important test: a withdrawal
Normal brokers may require identity checks, source-of-funds information, and a return of money to the original funding method. Those controls are not automatically suspicious. The critical distinction is whether the broker deducts legitimate charges from the account balance or demands a fresh payment before releasing your money.

- a withdrawal tax;
- a percentage of your trading profits;
- a “verification” or “security” payment;
- an account-upgrade or VIP fee; or
- a payment to an external wallet to unlock your balance.
These demands are consistent with advance-fee fraud. A displayed profit in an online dashboard is not proof that the money exists or can be withdrawn.
How to investigate AZ Trades before depositing
- Record the exact domain. Write down the website address, email domains, phone numbers, app name, and bank or crypto payment instructions. Impersonators often use near-identical domains.
- Find the legal entity. Check the Terms and Conditions, client agreement, and footer. If the documents name different companies or omit the entity entirely, stop.
- Verify the licence yourself. Use the regulator’s search tool. Confirm that the website and contact details match the official record.
- Read the withdrawal clause. Look for minimum turnover, bonus restrictions, withdrawal fees, processing times, and any right to delay or suspend withdrawals.
- Test support with specific questions. Ask for the legal entity, regulator, segregated-funds arrangements, total withdrawal charges, and whether a withdrawal can be made without an additional deposit. Save the answers.
- Start with no money. A demo account can test the platform, but it cannot prove that withdrawals work. Do not treat a functioning MT4 or MT5 login as proof of a genuine brokerage operation.
- If you proceed, use a small amount. Fund only what you can afford to lose and make a small withdrawal before increasing the balance. Never borrow to trade forex.
What to do if AZ Trades is holding your money
Stop sending funds, even if the person contacting you promises that one final payment will release everything. Preserve evidence: screenshots of the dashboard, emails, chat messages, payment receipts, wallet addresses, bank details, phone numbers, and the exact website.
Contact your bank or card issuer immediately and ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall, or fraud report is possible. Crypto transfers are generally harder to reverse, but you should still notify the exchange or wallet provider used to send the funds. Report the matter to your national financial regulator and police or cybercrime reporting service.

Be wary of “recovery agents” who promise to retrieve the money for an upfront fee. Victims of one investment scam are frequently targeted by a second scam using the same personal details.

Is AZ Trades a regulated forex broker?
This cannot be confirmed from the brand name alone. Check the relevant regulator’s official register for the exact legal company, licence number, authorised website, and permission to serve retail forex customers. A company-registration record is not the same as financial-services authorisation.
Can I trust AZ Trades if it shows profits in my account?
No. An online balance or profit figure can be created by a trading dashboard and does not prove that funds are available. Request a small withdrawal without making any additional payment. Never pay a tax, security deposit, VIP fee, or other new deposit to unlock money.
What should I do if AZ Trades asks for a withdrawal fee?
