AWS Marketplace is adding tools for bundling related products, researching software with an AI assistant, and generating certain private offers from seller-set rules. Presidio executive Mark Grigoletto called the marketplace “the wave of the future,” but that is his view—not an independently established forecast. For enterprise buyers, the practical question is whether these features make a specific purchase easier without obscuring its costs, terms, or security requirements.
What has changed in AWS Marketplace?
Recent updates address different parts of buying cloud software: assembling a solution, finding and comparing products, and requesting an offer. They are procurement and discovery features, not a guarantee that a purchase is cheaper, faster, or better suited to a buyer.
Multi-product solutions group related components
AWS Multi-Product Solutions let partners package products and services around a use case. AWS says supported categories include SaaS, Server, AI Agents and Tools, Machine Learning, and Professional Services. A buyer can use one streamlined approval and negotiation path, while each component retains its own pricing and terms. Buyers also retain control over component renewals and term lengths. AWS says the feature is available in all regions where AWS Marketplace operates. AWS feature announcement.
The convenience is a consolidated route through procurement, not a single all-inclusive contract by default. Review each component’s price, duration, renewal date, and scope before approving the package.

Agent Mode supports discovery and evaluation
AWS describes Agent Mode as a conversational procurement interface. Buyers can describe requirements in natural language, upload supported documents, ask follow-up questions, compare products side by side, and generate proposals for internal review. It uses Marketplace information and other sources, but it does not itself complete a purchase: it directs buyers to purchase options or a seller request. AWS said its catalog included more than 30,000 listings when it announced the feature on November 30, 2025; that historical catalog count is not a guarantee of today’s inventory. Pay particular attention to what you enter or upload. AWS’s buyer guidance warns that information provided in Agent Mode may be visible without access restrictions and advises against sharing confidential, personal, or sensitive business information. Use non-sensitive requirements, and follow your organization’s rules for evaluating cloud services.

Express Private Offers automate only preset cases
Announced November 30, 2025, Express Private Offers let participating sellers define pricing rules. A buyer who meets those rules can answer questions about purchase requirements and contract duration to receive a personalized offer. Requests outside the seller’s preset rules may be routed to sales for help. It is therefore not a universal instant-quote feature for every seller or listing. AWS Express Private Offers announcement.
Marketplace also added AI agent listings and pricing options
On July 16, 2025, AWS announced AI agents and tools in Marketplace, including natural-language search and listing details intended to help buyers assess protocol support and deployment choices. AWS announcement. In a separate October 31, 2025 announcement, AWS described contract-based and usage-based pricing for compatible AgentCore Runtime products, along with simplified OAuth credential management for API-based agents and tools. Those details apply to the compatible products and workflows AWS describes, not necessarily every agent listing. AWS pricing and credential announcement.

Why Presidio and Deloitte see strategic value
CRN’s report on the changes includes perspectives from AWS and its partners. Presidio’s Mark Grigoletto, director of Cloud Marketplace, said, “Marketplace is the wave of the future,” framing the platform as strategically important for channel partners. Kevin Corace, Presidio’s vice president of sales, enterprise licensing and business development, said in a separate CRN interview, “I do not see a future where you can be an effective reseller without having marketplace expertise across the hyperscalers.” These are executives’ assessments of the channel’s direction, not proof that every reseller or customer should use a marketplace for every purchase. CRN’s report and interviews.
CRN also describes Presidio’s marketplace advisory activity and Deloitte’s Marketplace portfolio. Deloitte global chief commercial officer for Deloitte’s Amazon business Nishita Henry said Marketplace helps buyers focus on solutions to a problem and that the new enhancements would make it easier to sort through available offerings. Her comments speak to the potential value of discovery and partner curation; the usefulness still depends on whether a listing fits the buyer’s technical, security, and commercial requirements.

What the reported figures do—and do not—show
The figures cited by the companies and executives indicate activity, but they should not be read as independently verified evidence that the features produce a particular result for every customer.
- Presidio: The company reported more than $1 billion in cumulative AWS Marketplace sales. This is a company-reported cumulative figure, not annual sales or independently established market share. Presidio’s milestone announcement.
- AWS: Vice president Ruba Borno told CRN that Marketplace was associated with 30 percent faster time-to-market on average, as well as bigger basket sizes and new customers. The report does not provide the underlying methodology, sample, or study, so the percentage and outcomes remain her attributed claims.
- Deloitte: Henry cited more than 230 AI agents and more than 130 industry solutions. These counts are attributed to her in CRN, not independently audited inventory totals.
- AWS catalog: AWS said its Marketplace had more than 30,000 listings in the November 30, 2025 announcement. That count describes the catalog at that time, not a current inventory guarantee.
CRN is the source for the interviews and partner claims; AWS announcements and buyer documentation provide the operational feature descriptions. Neither the executive comments nor the launch announcements establish a general causal result across Marketplace customers.

How to assess whether a Marketplace purchase fits
Use the new discovery and offer tools to narrow options, then evaluate the actual listing and transaction. A proposal or preconfigured offer is a starting point for review, not a substitute for it.
- Validate the use case and requirements. Check that the product or solution addresses the problem and meets technical, security, protocol, deployment, and integration requirements.
- Review each component’s economics. For a multi-product solution, compare component-level prices, contract terms, renewal dates, and service scope. Do not assume one approval means one price or one renewal.
- Confirm how the offer is generated. Determine whether the seller offers an applicable private offer or Express Private Offer. For Express, verify that your requested terms fit the seller’s configured rules; otherwise, expect a sales discussion.
- Map procurement to your organization. Check approval steps and how the purchase fits any applicable cloud-spend commitments or procurement policies.
- Establish delivery and support responsibilities. Confirm deployment work, integrations, implementation services, and who provides ongoing support.
What the innovation means for buyers and partners
The updates make Marketplace more than a catalog: they add ways to assemble a use-case-oriented package, explore products conversationally, and streamline some seller-defined offer scenarios. For partners such as Presidio and Deloitte, that creates a stronger role in advising customers and shaping solutions. But the evidence supports a measured conclusion: the tools can change how buyers discover and route purchases; claims about faster cycles, larger baskets, or future channel dominance remain attributed views rather than universal outcomes.
