Avid Organics says it plans to build its first manufacturing facility outside India in the United States, with operations targeted to begin in 2028. The company has not chosen a site. Its announcement outlines a plan—not a completed investment, construction project or operating plant.
What Avid Organics has announced
On October 13, 2026, India-headquartered specialty-chemicals manufacturer Avid Organics Private Limited announced plans for a U.S. facility through its wholly owned subsidiary, Avid Organics America Inc. The company says the project is intended to complement its manufacturing base in India and serve North American customers through local production. The announcement, published by UNI India and syndicated by PRNewswire, is the primary source for the project details.

The company’s CEO and managing director, Dheeraj Jain, described the United States as a strategic market and said local manufacturing was an important step in Avid Organics’ long-term growth plans. That statement explains the company’s rationale; it does not establish what the facility will produce at scale or how it may affect customer supply.

Planned investment, timing and products
Avid Organics says it plans to invest up to US$50 million across its U.S. operations through 2035. This is a forward-looking company plan, not an independently verified amount already spent or committed to this facility alone. The announcement does not allocate the figure by project or year.

The proposed facility is targeted to begin operations in 2028. Its initial planned products are glycine and glycolic acid in technical and cosmetic grades. Avid Organics’ company overview lists both chemicals in its broader product portfolio and describes markets including animal nutrition, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, home care, personal care and cosmetics, and industrial cleaning. It does not disclose the proposed U.S. plant’s capacity or say how output will be divided among products or markets.
Where the facility stands—and what remains undecided
The proposed site has not been finalized. Avid Organics says discussions to select it are ongoing, and the Austin, Texas dateline on the announcement does not identify the plant’s location. The company says it will provide further details as the project progresses.

Avid Organics describes its manufacturing headquarters as being in Vadodara, India, with regional sales support through Avid Organics America Inc. and its Netherlands office. The company says its U.S. subsidiary already distributes its products in the U.S. market. The planned facility would therefore represent a proposed shift from serving that market through distribution to adding local manufacturing; the company has not disclosed what that would mean for capacity, lead times or supply.
