AviaGames announced a $40 million funding round on August 11, 2021, saying it would use the money to acquire players, develop games, grow its team and expand internationally. The announcement was a 2021 funding event—not a recent round—and the stated plans do not establish what the company later completed.
Why did AviaGames raise $40 million?
AviaGames said the funding would support four priorities: bringing more players to its games, creating new games for its platform, expanding its team and growing its international presence. These were the company’s announced intentions at the time, not independently verified outcomes.
- Player acquisition: attract more people to its mobile games.
- Game development: add new titles to the platform.
- Team growth: expand the company’s staff.
- International expansion: extend its presence beyond its existing markets.
AviaGames founder and CEO Vickie Chen framed the company’s ambition around a broader audience for gaming: “We know the gaming universe is much broader than that.” Chen also described the intended experience as brief and accessible, saying the company aimed to let people compete with real players for a few minutes at a time.
Who invested in AviaGames?
In its August 11, 2021 announcement, AviaGames named ACME Capital, Washington Harbour Partners and Powerhouse Capital as investors. The company said previous investors Makers Fund and Galaxy Digital also participated. The announcement did not state a company valuation.

What is Pocket7Games?
Pocket7Games was presented as AviaGames’ mobile gaming platform: a collection of casual games connected through a shared membership and wallet. That is different from a single standalone game; the platform groups multiple titles within a common account experience.
At the time of the funding announcement, AviaGames described Pocket7Games as having more than 10 games. Cofounder Ping Wang told GamesBeat that the company focused on mobile game operations and understanding player behavior, describing short competitive sessions as a way to engage users during leisure time.

It also said the platform included 10+ games. These are company-reported figures from 2021, not audited measurements or current operating metrics.
