Avelo Airlines completed its withdrawal from Bradley International Airport (BDL) in January 2026. AeroRoutes reported that its final Bradley flights were to Cancun on January 3, Punta Cana on January 5, and Montego Bay on January 25, the airline’s last reported service date at the airport. AeroRoutes published those route dates on November 5, 2025.
When was Avelo’s last flight from Bradley?
The reported final date varied by destination. AeroRoutes reported the following last service dates for Avelo’s Bradley routes:
| Bradley destination | Reported final service date |
|---|---|
| Cancun (CUN) | January 3, 2026 |
| Punta Cana (PUJ) | January 5, 2026 |
| Montego Bay (MBJ) | January 25, 2026 |
On those reported dates, January 25 was Avelo’s final service date at Bradley. The dates come from AeroRoutes’ November 5, 2025 route report; Avelo’s January 6, 2026 announcement confirmed broader network and schedule changes but did not list Bradley’s final-flight dates.
What affected travelers should do
Avelo said its near-term schedule changes would affect many customer itineraries and that it would contact affected customers directly by email and text. The airline directed customers who needed further help to its Customer Support Center. That notice was general guidance, not a Bradley-specific promise of rebooking, refunds, or other remedies. Check the terms and direct airline notices for your own ticket.

Why did Avelo change its network?
In its January 6, 2026 announcement, Avelo said it was streamlining its network around four current bases: New Haven, Philadelphia/Delaware Valley, Charlotte/Concord, and Central Florida/Lakeland. It also planned a Dallas/McKinney base for late 2026 and announced closures of its Mesa, Raleigh-Durham, and Wilmington bases. Bradley is not listed among the four current bases. The announcement does not identify a Bradley-specific reason for the service withdrawal.
How Avelo’s Bradley service developed
Avelo and Bradley announced a major route expansion in July 2024, including Avelo’s entry at the airport. Avelo’s July 24, 2024 announcement described the expansion and its first two international destinations. In April 2025, the Connecticut Airport Authority reported that Avelo had launched Bradley–Punta Cana and also flew from Bradley to Cancun and Montego Bay. At the Punta Cana launch, Avelo founder and CEO Andrew Levy called it “another milestone as Connecticut’s Hometown Airline”—a statement made at the time of the launch, not a comment on the later withdrawal. Bradley International Airport’s April 3, 2025 announcement covers that launch.
