Augment Risk has hired Brittany Haynes as Partner, MGA, based in London. Reporting published on 1 October 2026 says she will report to Mark Aylward, also a Partner, MGA, and bring experience in Lloyd’s delegated underwriting authority placements and North American programme structuring.
What Haynes will do at Augment Risk
Haynes’s reported remit brings together three areas: advising managing general agents (MGAs) on insurance and reinsurance solutions, placing Lloyd’s delegated underwriting authority, and structuring North American programmes. An MGA is an intermediary that can be delegated authority by an insurer or other risk-bearing entity to perform underwriting functions; the appointment coverage frames Haynes’s work around helping MGA clients arrange insurance and reinsurance solutions.
The Insurer reported that Augment said Haynes would help secure capital and capacity for its next stage of growth. The coverage did not identify a speaker or provide a direct quotation, so this is best understood as a reported description of the role rather than a personal statement by Haynes or a named company representative.
Her insurance and reinsurance career
The reports describe Haynes as having 14 years of experience across the US and London markets. Reinsurance News says she spent five years at Guy Carpenter, most recently as a managing director, and previously held an associate director role at Willis Re. Insurance Business identifies the Guy Carpenter programme unit as GC Access and reports that Haynes progressed there from senior vice-president to managing director. The Insurer also lists Construction Risk Partners among her previous employers.

Those roles provide context for the capabilities highlighted in the appointment: delegated-authority placements, programme structuring and advice to MGAs on strategic insurance and reinsurance solutions. The reports do not provide further detail on individual programmes or clients.

Insurance Business, citing Gallagher Re’s 2026 MGA Market Report, reports that US MGA premium ceded to reinsurers reached US$21.2 billion in 2025, an 18% increase year over year. The original Gallagher Re report was not available in the cited coverage, so the figure is a secondhand attribution, not an independently verified statistic here. It offers context for the capital and capacity dimension of Haynes’s reported role, but does not establish a specific growth target or business plan for Augment Risk.
