Verdict: Audacity Capital appears to be a real prop-trading evaluation business, not an obvious fake website that simply takes deposits and disappears. But it should not be confused with a regulated broker or a firm handing you a live trading account.
The central trade-off is straightforward: you pay for an assessment or access product, trade under Audacity Capital’s rules, and may receive a share of eligible profits if the firm accepts your results. The advertised account size is not cash held in your name, and the firm’s rules—not the headline account balance—determine whether you can keep trading or request a payout.
That makes Audacity Capital a potentially usable, but high-counterparty-risk, service. It may suit a disciplined trader who has read the current agreement in full. It is unsuitable for anyone expecting FCA protection, guaranteed income, or unrestricted access to live capital.
What Audacity Capital actually sells
Audacity Capital sells access to proprietary-trading programmes. Depending on the product available at the time of purchase, a trader may either complete an evaluation or enter a programme with specified trading limits and a profit-sharing arrangement.

In either case, the “$10,000”, “$50,000” or larger figure shown on a product page should not be treated as a bank balance deposited for you. It is generally a notional trading limit used to calculate drawdown, position sizing and performance. The account may be simulated, and the firm decides how successful traders are handled under its contract.
Before paying, read the terms attached to the exact product—not a review, YouTube description or promotional banner. Look specifically for:
- whether the account is simulated or connected to live markets;
- the permitted instruments and trading platforms;
- daily-loss and maximum-loss calculations;
- profit split, payout timing and minimum withdrawal conditions;
- news, weekend and overnight-trading restrictions;
- rules covering expert advisers, copy trading, multiple accounts and IP addresses;
- refund, termination and dispute provisions; and
- whether the firm can change rules after purchase or reject a trading style at its discretion.
Is Audacity Capital FCA-regulated?
Do not assume that a London address, a UK company number or the word “capital” means financial-services authorisation. A prop-trading company can operate an evaluation and training business without being an FCA-authorised broker or investment manager.
Check the FCA Financial Services Register yourself. Search the legal company name shown in Audacity Capital’s terms, not just “Audacity Capital”. Then compare the firm’s legal name, website and contact details with the register entry. Also search Companies House to establish whether the relevant UK entity exists and is active.

These checks answer different questions:

If Audacity Capital is not authorised for the service you are buying, you should assume there is no ordinary investment-firm protection, no FSCS cover for a trading loss and no Financial Ombudsman route simply because the business uses a UK address.
How the business model creates risk
A prop-firm evaluation is not the same as opening an account with a broker. Your main financial risk is usually the fee paid for the programme, but there are other risks:

- Rule risk: a profitable strategy can still fail because it breaches a drawdown, news, lot-size or consistency rule.
- Interpretation risk: vague terms such as “gambling”, “abusive trading” or “inconsistent strategy” can give the firm room to review conduct subjectively.
- Payout risk: a payout is conditional on compliance and may require identity checks or additional review.
- Platform risk: spreads, slippage, outages or data-feed differences can affect stop-outs and rule calculations.
- Counterparty risk: even a genuine operating firm can delay payments, change products or fail financially.
Never borrow the evaluation fee, use rent money or treat a pass as evidence that you have a reliable income stream. Most retail traders do not pass prop-firm assessments, and a successful first payout does not remove the risk of later account closure.
Rules that deserve special attention
Rules vary by programme and can change. The following are the failure points to check in the current Audacity Capital agreement.

Find out whether daily drawdown is calculated from starting balance, the day’s opening equity, the highest equity reached, or a reset time based on a particular time zone. Ask whether floating losses count. A position can breach a limit before it is closed if the rule is based on equity rather than closed balance.
For example, on a notional $50,000 account, a 5% limit equals $2,500. If the rule uses equity and your account has already gained $1,000, a temporary open loss may still breach the permitted level even though your closed balance remains above the original starting balance.
News and overnight positions
“News trading allowed” may mean only that you can hold a trade through an announcement. It may not permit opening, closing or triggering a pending order during a restricted window. Check the list of affected instruments, the time zone used and whether stop-loss or take-profit execution counts as a trader-initiated action.

Weekend and overnight holding
Some programmes allow overnight or weekend positions while others restrict them. A strategy that depends on holding a position through Sunday’s market open can be incompatible with a programme even if the trade itself was entered legally on Friday.
Automated and copied trading
Do not assume that an EA, trade copier or signal service is acceptable because the platform technically supports it. The agreement may allow risk-management automation but prohibit fully automated execution, copying another trader, account rolling or identical trades across related accounts.
Multiple accounts and account rolling
Buying several evaluations and risking each one aggressively can be treated differently from running a repeatable strategy. Check limits on account aggregation, hedging between accounts, shared devices, shared IP addresses and transferring trades or login details.
Fees, profit splits and payouts
Compare the complete cost, not just the entry fee. Include platform charges, optional upgrades, reset fees, payment-processing costs and any exchange-rate spread. Confirm whether the fee is refundable after purchase, after failure or only under a statutory cooling-off exception.

- the minimum profit or minimum payout;
- the percentage retained by the trader;
- the earliest eligible request date; and
- the stated processing period, including any extra time for compliance review.
A displayed “profit split” is not the same as a guaranteed payment. The firm can still apply eligibility conditions, and a trader may owe tax on payments received. Keep invoices, account statements, payout emails and screenshots of the rules in force when you purchased.
Evidence for and against calling it a scam
Why it does not automatically look like a scam
- It has operated publicly as a named prop-trading brand rather than presenting itself as an anonymous broker.
- Its business model, programme rules and payout structure are disclosed to prospective customers.
- There are public customer reports describing both successful payouts and complaints.
- The product is generally presented as a performance-based prop programme rather than a promise to multiply customer deposits.
Why caution remains justified
- A genuine company can still be unregulated and offer weak contractual protection.
- Reviews are not an independent audit of pass rates, payout rates or reserves.
- The firm controls the account, rulebook and compliance decision.
- Marketing language can make notional capital sound like live funding.
- Trading rules, platforms and payout conditions can differ between products and change over time.
A rejected payout is not, by itself, proof of fraud; it may follow a genuine rule breach. Conversely, a handful of successful payouts does not prove that every customer will be treated fairly. The useful question is whether you understand the contract and can accept the result if the firm closes the account.

- Open the exact product page and save a PDF of the rules, fee page and payout terms.
- Identify the contracting legal entity and search it on Companies House.
- Search that entity on the FCA Register. Do not rely on logos, testimonials or a UK address.
- Contact support with specific questions about drawdown, news, EAs and payouts. Save the replies.
- Check whether your country, platform and payment method are accepted.
- Use a payment method with a clear transaction record, but do not assume a card chargeback will succeed if you simply lose under the contract.
- Start with an amount you can lose without affecting essential bills.
- Keep a trading log that records equity, open risk, rule compliance and all communication.
Who might consider it—and who should avoid it?
Audacity Capital may be worth comparing with other prop firms for an experienced trader who already has a tested strategy, trades within fixed risk limits and understands that the account is not personal live capital.
Avoid it if you need guaranteed access to funds, rely on high-frequency scalping, trade mainly around major releases, use prohibited automation, cannot tolerate a delayed or rejected payout, or are buying the challenge as a substitute for an emergency fund or regular salary.

Is Audacity Capital a scam?
There is not enough basis to label Audacity Capital an outright scam simply because it operates a prop-trading programme. It is better described as a potentially genuine but unregulated, contract-based service whose customers face firm, platform and payout risk.

Does Audacity Capital give traders real money to trade?
Do not interpret the advertised account size as cash held in your name or a normal live brokerage account. Confirm the current product terms, but treat the programme as simulated or otherwise controlled by the firm unless the contract expressly states otherwise.
Is Audacity Capital FCA-authorised?
A UK company or UK address does not establish FCA authorisation. Search the exact contracting entity on the FCA Financial Services Register before paying. If it is not listed for the service, ordinary regulated-investment protections should not be assumed.
Can Audacity Capital refuse a payout?
