The $6.5 million price in the original headline was the home’s asking price when it was listed in September 2025—not its sale price. Realtor.com reported the home was offered at $4.85 million before a contingent offer in August 2026.
What happened to Aubrey Plaza’s Los Feliz home?
The house, in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, was first listed for $6.5 million in September 2025. Its asking price was subsequently reduced, and Realtor.com reported a contingent offer in August 2026. TMZ reported on September 5, 2026, that the sale had closed at $4.375 million, citing property records it said it obtained. The county record was not independently examined in the reporting reviewed here, so the closing figure should be understood as TMZ’s report.
That distinction matters: an asking price is what a seller offers to accept, while a reported closing price is the figure attributed to the completed transaction. The $6.5 million figure was not the reported final price.

How the reported sale compares with the purchase price
The reported $4.375 million closing price is $325,000 below the $4.7 million purchase price Realtor.com reported for October 2022. That arithmetic does not establish whether Plaza or the estate made a profit or loss: renovation expenses, taxes, carrying costs, commissions, and other transaction details are not included in those two figures.
