AT&T currently advertises the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL for $0 per month after bill credits, but it is not a free phone at checkout. The current offer requires an eligible trade-in, qualifying AT&T unlimited service, and a 36-month installment agreement. The original pre-order promotion was a 2025 launch offer; it is not the current sales window.
What AT&T is offering now
As of August 18, 2026, AT&T’s phone deals page and deals page list the Pixel 10 Pro XL at $0.00 per month after promotional bill credits. AT&T displays a regular installment price of about $34.73 per month. The offer depends on your account, trade-in, and service eligibility, so the $0 price is not guaranteed for every shopper and can change or disappear.

How the $0 price works
AT&T finances the phone and applies promotional credits to your bill over the 36-month installment term. If your credits fully offset the monthly device installment, the phone’s net monthly charge is $0 while the credits continue. You still pay for wireless service and the upfront taxes, and you may owe other applicable fees.

For illustration, AT&T’s displayed $34.73 monthly installment multiplied by 36 months is about $1,250.28 before credits. That is a calculation from the displayed monthly amount, not a guaranteed final contract total: your exact device configuration, installment amount, trade-in offer, and checkout terms control. The promotional value arrives over time rather than as an upfront discount.
Check your trade-in before counting on the discount
AT&T’s current public offer describes an eligible trade-in but does not expose a complete model-by-model eligibility and valuation list. Enter your exact phone model and condition in AT&T’s live trade-in flow and confirm the displayed credits before deciding. Do not assume that every Pixel qualifies, that damage is accepted, or that your device earns the maximum credit.
AT&T’s August 20, 2025 launch announcement described up to $1,250 off with an eligible smartphone trade-in, including language about a minimum trade-in value of $35. Those were terms of the original launch promotion, not proof of the rules or values in the current 2026 offer. The same announcement’s “any year, any condition” Pixel language should not be treated as a current guarantee.

Reduce the risk of a trade-in dispute
- Record the phone’s IMEI and photograph or video its condition before handing it over.
- Remove your Google account and screen lock, then factory-reset the phone.
- Follow AT&T’s current shipping or return instructions, and keep the tracking and acceptance confirmation.
- Save the order summary and promotion terms showing the expected trade-in value and monthly credits.
How to claim the offer
- Open AT&T’s Google phone shopping page and select the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
- Choose whether you are upgrading an existing line or starting a new one, then enter the trade-in phone’s make, model, and condition.
- Check the trade-in valuation and the specific monthly promotional credits shown for your account.
- Select an eligible unlimited plan and review the 36-month, 0% APR installment agreement.
- Before submitting, inspect the order total for full-price device taxes, activation or upgrade charges, accessories, protection, and any selected add-ons.
- Complete the trade-in exactly as AT&T instructs. Afterward, check subsequent bills to confirm the credits appear as expected.
AT&T’s checkout screens and offer terms can change, so rely on the current order summary rather than assuming a particular sequence of labels or a past promotion’s conditions.

Who is most likely to save with this offer?
It may suit an existing AT&T customer who plans to stay
AT&T’s deals page presents the Pixel offer to new and existing customers, subject to eligibility. An existing customer who already has a qualifying plan, wants this phone, and expects to keep the line active for all 36 months may find the credits useful. Before upgrading, check whether the current phone still has an unpaid balance, whether paying it off would end existing credits, and whether your account is eligible for the new offer.
It may be a poor fit if the plan or trade-in erases the savings
The relevant comparison is your total cost, not just the device line’s $0 label. Compare your current plan cost with the plan you would need, across all 36 months, and include taxes and fees, the trade-in phone’s realistic private-sale value, and any remaining balance on your current device. If you would move to a much more expensive plan solely to get the phone discount, the extra service cost could outweigh the credits.

The offer is also less attractive if you expect to leave AT&T before three years, want an unlocked phone, or can sell your current phone for substantially more than AT&T’s effective trade-in value.

Do not assume future credits will continue if you cancel the line or move to a plan that is ineligible. Losing credits can leave part of the phone’s installment balance unpaid, and the remaining device charges may become due under the agreement. You could also forfeit the unused promotional value, while the traded-in phone is generally not something you should expect to recover after acceptance.

If you might switch carriers in a year or two, compare the installment balance you would still owe with the credits you would lose. Review the specific early-cancellation and plan-change terms in your checkout agreement; the public product listing does not spell out every account-specific provision.

The original pre-order promotion was in 2025
AT&T announced Pixel 10 series pre-orders on August 20, 2025, with general availability announced for August 28, 2025. Its launch announcement promoted up to $1,250 off a Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL with an eligible trade-in, as well as a Pixel Watch 3 promotion and 50% off select Pixel accessories. Those details describe the launch period, not extras you should assume are included in the current offer. See AT&T’s original announcement for that historical promotion.
Compare carrier credits with buying unlocked
Buying unlocked from the Google Store may be a better fit if carrier flexibility matters more than minimizing the monthly device charge. Google’s configuration and offers pages show purchase, trade-in, financing, and promotional options, but prices and offers vary by configuration and period. Compare the full current checkout totals rather than assuming the unlocked option is always cheaper.
Google Store information also describes Next Up Anytime as a separate $10-per-month early-upgrade feature in its AT&T installment context. It is not required for the basic AT&T trade-in offer; adding it would materially increase costs over time. Other carrier offers and selling your current phone privately are additional comparisons, but their value depends on their live terms and your device.
