Astro Pak LLC announced on March 18, 2026, that it had completed its acquisition of Clean Sciences, LLC. Astro Pak says the deal expands its cleanroom footprint into Northern California and adds capabilities and expertise serving semiconductor and defense markets.
What the acquisition adds
Astro Pak described Clean Sciences as a precision cleaning services provider and said its Northern California presence complements Astro Pak cleanroom services in Downey, California, and Titusville, Florida. The announcement frames the acquisition around three additions:
- Geography: a cleanroom footprint in Northern California.
- Capabilities: Clean Sciences’ precision cleaning processes and cleanroom packaging services.
- Market expertise: additional reach in semiconductor and defense end markets.
Astro Pak President Ken Carroll said Clean Sciences had served customers for more than 30 years, while Clean Sciences President Jonathan Kaye cited Astro Pak’s more than 65 years of experience in high-purity and precision cleaning. Those figures are statements in the companies’ March 18 announcement, not independently verified operating-history measures. Carroll said, “We are excited to welcome Clean Sciences to the Astro Pak family.” Kaye said, “We are thrilled to join the Astro Pak team.”
What services Clean Sciences provides
The announcement lists several processes offered by Clean Sciences. In practical terms, ultrasonic cleaning uses high-frequency sound waves in a liquid bath to help remove contaminants; the release does not specify the equipment or process parameters used. Clean Sciences also lists high-purity solvent and detergent processes, chemical etching, and hot reverse-osmosis/deionized (RO/DI) water rinsing. Packaging took place in ISO Class 5 and ISO Class 6 cleanroom environments, according to the announcement.

The release identifies semiconductor equipment manufacturers, aerospace and defense, medical, biomedical, optics, and electronics among Clean Sciences’ markets. It does not provide customer names, contract details, or a breakdown of sales by industry.
What Astro Pak and Clean Sciences said about the deal
Astro Pak’s stated rationale is to extend its cleanroom presence in Northern California and broaden capabilities and expertise in semiconductor and defense markets. Stephens Group Managing Director Jack Nadal said, “The acquisition of Clean Sciences further strengthens Astro Pak’s position in the precision cleaning market.” Astro Pak was identified in the announcement as a portfolio company of The Stephens Group.

It also does not establish expected revenue contributions, synergies, employee effects, or operational changes. The companies’ public statements support the strategic rationale described above, but not a conclusion about the transaction’s financial impact.
