The title’s HKD 1.61 price reference is not confirmed by a dated quote here, so it should not be treated as the stock’s current price.
What the latest results show

Asia Cement (China) Holdings Corporation’s interim-results announcement covers the six months ended June 30, 2026. The period matters: these are half-year figures, not full-year results.
Why the first-quarter result weakened
For the three months ended March 31, 2026, the company reported an unaudited loss attributable to owners of RMB81.283 million, compared with a profit of RMB3.081 million in the first quarter of 2025. In an April 17, 2026 profit warning, the Board said the expected decrease in profit was primarily due to lower selling prices for the Group’s products compared with the corresponding period in 2025.

The April 2026 profit warning identifies selling prices as management’s cited near-term driver. It does not, by itself, establish how much of the change came from demand, input costs, or other factors.
How this compares with full-year 2025
The 2025 full-year comparison was mixed: revenue fell from 2024, while gross profit and profit attributable to owners improved. The company’s January 2026 positive profit alert said the expected 2025 profit increase was primarily attributable to lower cement-product cost of sales. That alert was based on preliminary management accounts that had not been reviewed or audited; the later annual report provides the full-year figures below.
| Measure | 2025 | 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | RMB5,109.174 million | RMB5,885.495 million |
| Gross profit | RMB699.990 million | RMB592.563 million |
| Profit/(loss) attributable to company owners | RMB85.724 million profit | RMB263.682 million loss |
These full-year figures come from Asia Cement’s 2025 annual report. They should not be compared as if they covered the same period as the first-half 2026 margin figures.

The assigned HKD 1.61 figure is not supported here by a dated market quotation. A share price is meaningful only with its trading date and quote type, such as a closing price, intraday price, or delayed quote. Verify those details against a current market source before using the figure to assess a return or valuation. The company is listed in Hong Kong under stock code 00743; HKEX’s equities information is a starting point for checking the listing and market data.

- Selling prices: Management cited lower product selling prices as the primary reason for the expected first-quarter deterioration.
- Gross margin and cost of sales: The first-half margin fell to 9% from 16% a year earlier, while management had attributed its preliminary 2025 profit improvement mainly to lower cost of sales.
- Reporting period and status: Distinguish quarterly, half-year, and full-year comparisons, and note whether results are preliminary, unaudited, or reported in an annual report.
- Profit attributable to owners: The first-quarter loss and the weaker first-half gross result are separate measures; neither alone establishes the company’s full-year outcome.
The available results point to weaker first-half 2026 gross profit and margin and a first-quarter swing to loss. Full-year 2025, however, showed improved gross profit and attributable earnings despite lower revenue. A decision about the shares therefore depends on subsequent results and a verified share price, not the unconfirmed HKD 1.61 reference alone.
