The reviewed sources do not identify experts advising investors to sell Tron (TRX) and buy Retik Finance (RETIK), or provide an attributable investment thesis for that switch. They do establish some facts about TRX’s network role and price history, and a limited, dated set of assessment details about RETIK. That is not enough to conclude that one token is a better investment.
Is the sell-TRX, buy-RETIK recommendation verified?
No. The available sources do not name the experts, show their original recommendation, or establish when or why they made it. Without the original statement and its context, the headline’s attribution should be treated as unverified—not as a consensus view or a recommendation supported by the evidence here.
Before acting on a purported expert call, look for the original publication or recording and check:
- Who made the call: a named analyst or researcher, rather than an unattributed reference to “experts.”
- What they actually said: whether they recommended a specific sale and purchase, or were discussing a hypothetical comparison.
- When and on what basis: the date, assumptions, valuation method, time horizon, and risks in the thesis.
- Potential conflicts: whether the speaker or publisher holds either token, is paid to promote it, or has another financial interest.
A claim that experts favor a trade is not evidence that the trade is suitable for a particular investor. Even a properly attributed opinion remains an opinion, not a promise of returns.

What the available evidence establishes about TRX
TRX has several roles within the TRON network
TRON’s Developer Hub describes TRX as the network’s native token. Its tokenomics documentation lists transaction fees, staking, governance, and use as collateral and a liquidity benchmark in the TRON decentralized-finance ecosystem. These are descriptions of network functions; they do not, by themselves, establish future demand or predict TRX’s price.
Rewards and fee burning both affect supply
TRON’s documentation says TRX supply is affected by token rewards and fee burning. Whether supply expands or contracts depends on the relative amounts. The documentation lists 8 TRX per block for block production and 128 TRX per block for voter rewards, and says governance can adjust reward and burn parameters. Those figures describe governance-adjustable parameters in the documentation accessed October 8, 2026; they should not be treated as immutable supply rules or a price forecast.

Historical gains and losses show volatility, not what comes next
A 2026 SEC-filed Form S-3/A gives two examples of TRX’s past price movements: an approximately 75% drawdown from an April 2021 high to a November 2022 low, and an approximately 309% rise from January 2024 to December 2024. Both figures describe historical periods, not expected future performance. They also do not provide a like-for-like comparison with RETIK.
The SEC release describes a proposed judgment, not an unconditional final outcome
In a March 5, 2026 litigation release, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said it had filed a proposed judgment concerning its wash-trading claim against Rainberry, describing the underlying allegations as involving 2018 and 2019. The SEC said that, if approved by the court, the proposed judgment would settle that claim and dismiss with prejudice the remaining claims against Rainberry and all claims against the other Tron defendants. The release’s description of a proposal must be kept distinct from a court-approved judgment or any later court action; it does not establish the status of subsequent proceedings.

What the available evidence establishes about RETIK
CertiK’s Retik Finance project page records a contract audit request dated January 2, 2024, and a revision dated January 9, 2024. It also says the project team is not verified by CertiK. These details describe the page’s dated audit history and verification status; they do not establish RETIK’s current operating status, liquidity, availability, token distribution, or investment merits.
An audit entry is not a guarantee that a contract is free of vulnerabilities, that every relevant component was reviewed, or that a project is safe or commercially viable. The cited page’s dates and verification note should not be stretched into a claim about RETIK’s present condition or expected returns.

What cannot be concluded from this comparison
The available material is not a current, like-for-like investment comparison. It does not establish current market value or liquidity for both tokens, and it does not settle RETIK’s current availability, distribution, or operating status. It also supplies no original thesis behind the alleged switch.
TRX’s documented network functions, supply mechanics, historical price swings, and the SEC’s stated litigation posture are relevant facts, but none alone proves that an investor should sell or hold TRX. The limited CertiK details about RETIK likewise do not prove that it is a stronger alternative. A sound comparison would need current, consistently sourced information on usage, supply, liquidity and market access, contract and governance controls, team and project transparency, security-review scope, and legal or operational risks. Forecasts and promotional claims should be kept separate from those verifiable facts.

How to assess the claim before making a trade
- Find and verify the original recommendation. Do not rely on a headline that does not identify the speaker, date, and underlying analysis.
- Check current token and market information from comparable sources. Confirm that the data refer to the same date and clearly defined metrics; the evidence described above does not supply a current matched valuation or liquidity comparison.
- Examine the evidence behind each token’s risks and uses. A network use case, supply mechanism, audit record, or legal filing addresses a different question; none should stand in for a complete investment analysis.
- Consider your own exposure and risk tolerance. A speculative token switch can involve substantial loss. Do not treat an unattributed “experts advise” claim as a substitute for assessing whether that risk fits your financial situation.
On the evidence presented here, the alleged expert recommendation is unverified, and there is no supported basis to present selling TRX to buy RETIK as an evidence-backed conclusion.
