Will ATMs, debit cards, and online banking work?
The holiday schedules cited here do not guarantee access to any particular bank’s ATMs, debit-card services, app, or online banking. Check your institution’s service notices if you depend on a specific channel. Digital access may let you manage an account while branches are closed, but it does not establish when a payment will be processed or credited.

How Veterans Day affects ACH transfers and deposits
FedACH holiday schedule
Federal Reserve Financial Services’ 2026 schedule says FedACH processing ends at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time on November 10 and resumes at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on November 11. That is the network’s schedule; it does not mean an individual transfer will appear in a customer’s account at 5:30 p.m. Federal Reserve Financial Services 2026 holiday schedules.
Processing is not the same as account posting
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau describes ACH as an electronic transfer between banks or credit unions. Some ACH payments can clear the same day on business days during business hours, but processing and completion can take days. CFPB: What is an ACH transaction?

For electronic deposits, including ACH deposits and wire transfers, the CFPB says funds are generally available by the next business day, while noting that banks and credit unions set deposit cutoffs. A deposit received after an institution’s cutoff may be treated as made on the next business day. The actual timing depends on the sender, the transaction, the receiving institution’s cutoff, and its posting practices. CFPB: How long can a bank or credit union hold funds I deposited?
What to do if a payment or deposit is time-sensitive
- Check the sender’s schedule for when it will initiate the payment or deposit.
- Check your bank’s holiday notice and cutoff rules for the account receiving the funds.
- Allow for the FedACH holiday pause, and do not assume that network resumption means immediate account credit.
- If you need certainty about a bill deadline or expected deposit, contact the sender and receiving institution directly.
Why the Federal Reserve calendar may differ from your bank’s hours
The Federal Reserve Board’s schedule covers Federal Reserve holidays and reserve-system operations; it is not a directory of commercial bank branch hours. Its schedule notes: “For holidays falling on a Saturday, Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be open the preceding Friday; however, the Board of Governors will be closed.” That observance rule concerns the Federal Reserve’s own schedule and should not be used to infer whether a particular bank branch is open.
