There is evidence that Milano Cortina 2026 souvenirs were in high demand and briefly hard to find during the Games, but no verified online completed sales establish that they are now reselling for big money. The prices reported at official vendors—18 to 58 euros for mascot plush toys and 20 euros for certain pins—are historical retail prices, not proof of current resale value.
What the reports establish—and what they do not
The Associated Press reported that many official Olympic stores in Milan and Cortina had sold out of mascot plush toys less than a week into the Games, describing the toys as the most popular merchandise. That documents scarcity at those stores during the event; it does not establish how many toys were available elsewhere or what they later sold for online. Associated Press, February 10, 2026
For online resale, the key distinction is between an asking price and a completed transaction. A seller’s listing shows what they hope to receive, not what a buyer paid. The available reporting does not verify named online listings, completed-sale prices, or a measured resale premium for Milano Cortina souvenirs. It therefore cannot support a claim that these items are selling for large sums.
What the souvenirs cost during the Games
| Item | Reported price | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Tina and Milo mascot plush toys | 18 to 58 euros | AP-reported prices during the Games; not a current price or resale valuation. Source |
| YesMilano pins at official souvenir vendors | 20 euros, up from an initial 12 euros | AP-reported vendor prices, with the increase attributed to demand; not an online resale premium. Source |
These figures offer historical context, not a price guide. They do not show what a particular item is worth now, whether it is available, or whether an online listing will sell.

Which items drew attention
Tina and Milo plush toys
Tina is the lighter-colored stoat associated with the Olympic Winter Games; Milo, her younger brother, is the Paralympic Winter Games mascot. AP reported that their designs appeared on merchandise such as mugs and T-shirts, while plush toys were especially popular. Spectator Julia Peeler joked about the scarcity: “I think the only way to get them is to actually win a medal,” AP reported on February 10, 2026. The remark captures the moment, but does not quantify later supply or resale demand.
Olympic pins
Pin collecting spans retail, delegation, team, sponsor, media, and national Olympic committee designs. Collectors may prize particular categories for their rarity or connection to the event, but that general collector interest does not establish a value for any specific Milano Cortina pin. AP reported that Honav pins carry a Honav backstamp as an authenticity feature. Honav owner Mario Simonson said pins without official features have “zero value” for serious traders; that is his view, not a universal valuation rule. Associated Press, February 11, 2026

How to assess an online listing
If you are considering buying or selling a souvenir, assess the specific item and transaction rather than relying on a headline price or a seller’s description.
- Identify the exact item. Check the design, item type, and whether it is a retail, delegation, team, sponsor, media, or national Olympic committee pin.
- Look for evidence of official status. For pins, compare the listing’s features with documented details such as the Honav backstamp where applicable. A backstamp is useful evidence, not a complete guarantee for every listing.
- Inspect condition and completeness. Note wear, missing parts, and whether original packaging is included. These details can distinguish otherwise similar listings.
- Separate asking prices from sold prices. Prefer verifiable completed transactions for the same item and condition. Do not treat an unsold listing as evidence of market value.
- Account for the full transaction. Compare shipping, platform fees, and seller location as well as the item price.
No specific listing has been validated here, so these checks cannot authenticate an individual seller’s item or determine its current value.
