The application window for Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s 2024 Lecturer in Civil Engineering recruitment has closed. APPSC accepted applications from 5:00 p.m. on 13 June 2024 until before 5:00 p.m. on 12 July 2024. The details below apply to the Civil Engineering post at Government Polytechnic—not the separate Lecturer (DIET) or Lecturer (Electrical Engineering) notices.
When did registration begin, and what was the last date to apply?
For the 2024 Lecturer in Civil Engineering recruitment, online applications opened at 5:00 p.m. on 13 June 2024 and had to be submitted before 5:00 p.m. on 12 July 2024. Those dates have passed; this is a historical application guide, not an open application announcement. APPSC’s official notices and application portal should be checked for current recruitments.
Which APPSC Lecturer recruitment does this guide cover?
APPSC listed separate Lecturer advertisements for DIET, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The eligibility, dates, fee, and selection details here are for the Civil Engineering advertisement only. The notice advertised two Lecturer in Civil Engineering posts at a Government Polytechnic under Arunachal Pradesh’s Department of Higher and Technical Education, both reserved for APST. It listed a pay band of ₹15,600–39,100 with academic grade pay of ₹5,400 (pre-revised).
Who was eligible for the Civil Engineering post?
- Education: A first-class Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Technology; or a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Technology with first class or equivalent at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Age: Not more than 35 years as of 12 July 2024. Upper-age relaxation was available under Arunachal Pradesh government orders.
- Application fee: ₹150 for APST candidates. Candidates with disabilities were exempt under the Arunachal Pradesh rules cited in the notice. These fee conditions apply to this notice, not to all APPSC posts.
How did the APPSC OTR application process work?
One Time Registration (OTR) created a candidate profile and dashboard; it did not submit an application for a particular post. Applicants needed to complete OTR first, then apply to the notified Civil Engineering post through the dashboard.

- Complete OTR: Register with accurate personal and academic details, a valid email address, and a mobile number. The OTR instructions called for a recent photograph, signature, and required documents. They specified JPG/JPEG uploads and separate file-size limits for OTR, so applicants needed to follow the limits shown in those instructions.
- Sign in: Use the same user ID and password to access the candidate dashboard.
- Open the post: Select the notified post and choose “Apply Now.”
- Review and submit: Check the information retrieved from the OTR profile and complete any remaining application fields before submitting.
- Pay the applicable fee: Continue to payment and complete the required payment. APPSC’s instructions state: “Online Application will be considered as completed, only if the fee payment is made.” Its general guidance lists net banking, debit card, and credit card; available methods may change.
- Keep a copy: Print the completed application for your records. APPSC’s guidance says the application can be printed after completion.
For the Civil Engineering notice, the application particulars and payment requirements are set out in the APPSC advertisement and application instructions; the OTR guidance explains how the candidate profile and dashboard worked.
Which documents did the notice require?
The Civil Engineering notice specified these uploads:
- Recent colour passport photograph on a white background, facing forward without headgear or sunglasses: JPG, 40–100 KB.
- Signature in black ink on white paper: JPG, 40–50 KB.
- Self-attested degree certificates and marksheets.
- Self-attested matriculation certificate as age proof.
- APST certificate, where applicable.
- Disability certificate for applicants claiming the applicable exemption.
- For applicants in government service, a copy of the intimation sent to the department head or a no-objection certificate (NOC).
The notice also required original certificates and marksheets for verification at interview. It stated that candidates who failed to produce them would not be allowed to appear.
How were candidates to be selected?
The Civil Engineering advertisement specified a viva voce/interview worth 100 marks. APPSC reserved the option to hold a recruitment test if the number of applicants exceeded its desired ratio, with test details to be announced separately. The notice tentatively anticipated a test in the fourth week of July 2024 if one was needed.
