As of August 10, 2026, the best verified new Apple Watch Series 10 price found is $299 for a 42mm GPS aluminum model at Walmart. That is a reasonable price, but it is not an automatic bargain because a 42mm GPS Apple Watch Series 11 has also been reported at about $299. The Series 10 becomes much more compelling below $250 new or at roughly $225–$250 refurbished when the seller, battery health, warranty, and return policy check out.
The cheapest refurbished listings found start around $224.99, but many are marketplace or seller-refurbished offers rather than Apple-certified units. Apple’s main U.S. store no longer presents the Series 10 as a current model, although Apple Certified Refurbished Series 10 inventory remains available. Because August is close to Apple’s usual September watch-refresh period, avoid paying full price unless you need the watch now.

These are U.S. prices observed on August 10, 2026. Apple Watch prices can change quickly based on case size, color, band, ZIP code, seller, fulfillment method, and inventory. A product page or deal article is not enough by itself: confirm that the exact configuration is in stock, marked as new or refurbished as claimed, and has an active Add to cart option before treating it as a live deal.

- Buy a new aluminum GPS Series 10 at about $250 or less. At that price, it is a strong value if you do not need the Series 11’s battery, cellular, or front-glass improvements.
- Buy a refurbished aluminum GPS Series 10 around $225–$250 only when the seller provides a meaningful return period and credible battery and condition information.
- Treat $299 new as a comparison price, not a must-buy price. At that level, compare the identical size and connectivity Series 11 first.
- Consider cellular only if you will use it. The initial premium and recurring carrier charges can outweigh the apparent discount.
- Be cautious below $200 refurbished. Investigate activation lock, battery capacity, seller reputation, missing accessories, and return terms before calling it a bargain.
The Series 10 can still be the right purchase for an owner of an older compatible iPhone, a buyer who finds a configuration-specific clearance deal, or someone who wants nearly the Series 11 experience for substantially less. It is not automatically the better value simply because it is an older model.

Best Series 10 deal by buyer type
Cheapest new Series 10
The $299 Walmart listing for the 42mm GPS aluminum model is the lowest verified new price found in this research. It is $100 below the Series 10’s $399 starting price, or a 25% reduction. However, because a 42mm GPS Series 11 has also been reported at approximately $299, the Series 10 is difficult to justify at this price unless the exact listing has a preferred color or band, or the buyer needs compatibility with an iPhone XS.
Cheapest credible refurbished candidate
Best Buy’s refurbished search results show 42mm GPS aluminum models at approximately $224.99–$249.99. That is the most attractive refurbished range found, but the search page is not a guarantee that every listing has the same seller or coverage. Open the exact product page and check the condition label, battery information, warranty, included charger, band, and return period.
Best low-price cellular candidate
Walmart Restored listings show 42mm GPS + Cellular aluminum models from $224.96. This is an unusually low price for cellular hardware, so the listing deserves extra scrutiny. Confirm that the watch is genuinely GPS + Cellular rather than GPS, is not activation-locked, can be activated with the intended carrier, and includes the correct charger and band. Also calculate the cost of the carrier plan before deciding that it is cheaper overall.

Best 46mm price found
Best Buy shows a 46mm GPS aluminum Series 10 listing at $369, compared with the $429 launch price for that configuration. The $60 reduction is less compelling than the 42mm refurbished offers. Buy it mainly when you specifically want the 46mm case and the comparable Series 11 costs more, is unavailable, or does not meet your compatibility needs.
Best titanium option
Apple Certified Refurbished pricing starts at $509 for a 42mm titanium GPS + Cellular model and $549 for a 46mm titanium GPS + Cellular model. Those are premium prices for a previous-generation watch. Titanium and sapphire crystal may justify the cost for a buyer who specifically wants those materials, but most shoppers should compare these prices with Series 11 clearance and new aluminum alternatives first.
Best option for an older iPhone
The Series 10 has a meaningful compatibility advantage. Apple lists it as compatible with the iPhone XS or later, running iOS 18 or later, and watchOS 11 or later. Apple’s current watchOS 26 model guide also includes Series 10. The Series 11 requires an iPhone 11 or later with iOS 26 or later. An iPhone XS, iPhone 11, or iPhone 12 owner who is not ready to replace the phone may therefore have a practical reason to choose Series 10 even when the price gap is small. Check Apple’s current compatibility page before ordering because software requirements can change.
Why the $279 deal headline can be misleading
Deal coverage has repeatedly reported Series 10 prices around $279, and historical coverage has tracked aluminum GPS models at roughly $279–$299. But the exact 42mm GPS Amazon product page linked from one $279 deal article currently shows the product as unavailable. That means the article should not be treated as proof of an active deal.

Before relying on a low-price claim, verify all of the following:
- The exact case size is selected.
- The listing is GPS or GPS + Cellular as advertised.
- The case material and band match the headline.
- The item is marked new, open-box, refurbished, or pre-owned accurately.
- The seller and fulfillment method are visible.
- The page shows current inventory and an available checkout option.
- The price is not dependent on a coupon, membership, trade-in, or carrier activation that you will not use.
A phrase such as record low should always be limited to a particular model, configuration, retailer, and date. A $279 price for a 42mm GPS aluminum watch does not establish that a 46mm cellular titanium model is similarly discounted.
Series 10 versus Series 11: which is the better deal?
The Series 10 and Series 11 share the S10 processor, 64GB of storage, 42mm and 46mm case sizes, a similar display experience, and support for many of the same watchOS features. The Series 10 includes an always-on wide-angle OLED display rated up to 2,000 nits, ECG, temperature sensing, sleep-apnea notifications, crash and fall detection, and depth and water-temperature sensing.

The Series 11’s practical advantages are its longer 24-hour rated battery life, 5G connectivity on cellular models, and tougher front-glass protection. It retains a very similar design and the same S10 processor. These differences make the Series 11 the better choice when it costs no more than roughly $50 above an equivalent Series 10.

- Choose Series 10 when it is at least $50–$75 cheaper in the same size, connectivity, and condition, or when you need iPhone XS compatibility.
- Choose Series 11 when the prices are close, battery life matters, you want 5G cellular, or you prefer a new current-generation product over clearance or refurbishment.
- Do not pay $509–$549 for a Series 10 titanium refurb by default. That price requires a specific preference for titanium, sapphire crystal, or a particular configuration.
Current Series 11 benchmarks reported by Macworld include approximately $299 for the 42mm GPS model and $329 for the 46mm GPS model. These are comparison benchmarks rather than a guarantee of live inventory, so check the product page before using them to make a purchase decision.
GPS versus GPS + Cellular
A GPS Series 10 can independently use its built-in GPS for workouts, distance, pace, and route tracking. When away from the iPhone, it generally needs a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection for calls, texts, and notifications.
A GPS + Cellular model can operate more independently, but cellular service is not free. It requires an eligible carrier and an activated plan, and support depends on the carrier and region. The cellular option therefore has both a higher purchase price and a possible monthly cost.
Compare the first-year total rather than the watch price alone:
Watch price + sales tax + cellular activation or service charges + replacement charger or band cost
For most people who keep their iPhone nearby, GPS is the better-value version. Cellular is worthwhile when leaving the phone behind is a regular part of running, commuting, travel, caregiving, or emergency planning. Do not assume that any cellular Series 10 will work with any carrier; confirm compatibility and activation before the return deadline.

Apple’s Series 10 technical specifications list these core features:
- 42mm or 46mm case sizes.
- Aluminum or titanium case options.
- GPS or GPS + Cellular connectivity.
- S10 SiP processor and 64GB storage.
- Always-on wide-angle OLED display with up to 2,000 nits brightness.
- ECG and a third-generation optical heart sensor.
- Temperature sensing.
- Sleep-apnea notifications.
- Depth gauge and water-temperature sensing.
- Crash Detection and Fall Detection.
- Fast charging to approximately 80% in about 30 minutes.
- Apple-rated battery life of up to 18 hours, or up to 36 hours in Low Power Mode.
Aluminum models use Ion-X front glass, while titanium models use sapphire crystal. The material difference is one reason titanium listings command a premium, but it should not by itself justify paying more for an older watch than a comparable current model. The watch is water resistant, not infinitely waterproof; treat water-related features as specifications with limits rather than a guarantee against every water exposure.

Sleep-apnea notifications: With the required software, Series 10 can look for patterns associated with sleep apnea. Apple says the wearer generally needs to wear the watch while sleeping for at least 10 nights over a 30-day period before the feature can identify a persistent pattern. It is intended for adults who have not already been diagnosed with sleep apnea and should not be treated as a diagnosis.
Blood Oxygen in the United States: It is too broad to say that U.S. Series 10 models simply have no Blood Oxygen feature. The technical specifications list the sensor and app, but affected U.S. devices purchased on or after January 18, 2024, with part numbers ending in LW/A, handle Blood Oxygen data analysis on the paired iPhone. Results are viewed in the Health app rather than displayed directly on the watch. Check the model and region before buying if this feature matters.
watchOS 26: Apple says watchOS 26 adds hypertension notifications to Series 9 and later, including Series 10, subject to regional and feature-availability limits. Do not assume every health feature works identically in every country or on every configuration.
How to buy a refurbished or pre-owned Series 10 safely
The lowest apparent price is not necessarily the lowest total cost. Refurbished listings can be good values, but cosmetic grading such as excellent condition does not establish battery capacity, Apple certification, activation status, or future reliability.
1. Identify the condition precisely
Distinguish among new, open-box, certified refurbished, seller-refurbished, Restored, Renewed, and pre-owned. Do not infer that a product is brand-new from a retailer search page. Open the exact listing and read its condition label.
2. Match every part of the configuration
Confirm the 42mm or 46mm case, GPS or GPS + Cellular, aluminum or titanium material, color, band type, and band size. A low price may apply only to a less popular band or a different connectivity model. Cellular hardware should not be priced as though it includes an active carrier plan.
3. Check who is actually selling it
Apple Certified Refurbished is a first-party option. Best Buy may show its own Geek Squad Certified Refurbished products as well as other refurbished offers. Walmart pages can include Walmart and marketplace sellers. The retailer’s logo does not necessarily mean the retailer refurbished or fulfilled every item on the page.

Look for a stated battery-health percentage or a clear battery guarantee where available. Treat excellent condition as a description of appearance, not proof of battery health. If the seller will not explain the battery standard, price the watch as a riskier purchase and make sure the return period is long enough to test it.
5. Verify the warranty and return window
A specific Best Buy Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Series 10 listing states that it includes the case, band, charging cable, and a 90-day warranty. That is materially different from a marketplace listing with unclear coverage. Confirm the current terms for the exact SKU, including whether return shipping, restocking, or seller-specific rules apply.
6. Pair and test it immediately
After delivery, pair the watch with the intended iPhone before the return window expires. Confirm that it is not still associated with another Apple Account, that setup completes normally, and that the battery, charging, display, sensors, buttons, microphone, speaker, and band are acceptable.

7. Test cellular before the deadline
For GPS + Cellular models, confirm that the model can be activated with the intended carrier and that the carrier supports the watch in your region. A cellular watch that cannot be activated is not equivalent to a working cellular watch, even if the hardware itself appears genuine.

8. Account for missing accessories
Verify that the magnetic charging cable and the advertised band are included. A replacement charger or premium replacement band can erase a nominal $20–$50 saving.
What about pre-owned models?
No reliable pre-owned price floor is established by the current listings reviewed here. That is important: pre-owned, seller-refurbished, Restored, and Apple Certified Refurbished prices should not be blended into one supposed Series 10 deal price. A pre-owned watch can be worthwhile below the refurbished range, but only if the seller clearly discloses battery health, activation status, accessories, warranty, and returns.
