No—the latest verified change to Apple Card Savings was an increase, not another cut. Apple lists the account at 3.50% APY as of September 23, 2026, and a report that day says the rate rose from 3.40% to 3.50%. APYs can change, so check the rate shown in your account details before making a decision.
What is the Apple Card Savings APY right now?
Apple’s Apple Card Savings page lists a 3.50% APY, dated September 23, 2026. Apple cautions that the APY may change at any time, so that dated figure is not a promise of the rate a customer will earn in the future.
9to5Mac reported on September 23, 2026 that Apple raised the APY from 3.40% to 3.50%. That is the latest verified movement in the sources available here; it does not support the claim that the account has just had another rate cut.
How does that compare with the launch rate?
When Apple announced Savings in April 2023, it advertised a 4.15% APY, with the launch announcement dating that figure to April 14, 2023. The 2023 and September 2026 figures show that the listed rate has not been static, but they do not provide a complete history of every intervening change. It would be misleading to infer a full timeline from those points alone.

Interest compounds daily and is credited monthly. To see the APY and interest earned, open the Savings account details in Wallet. Funds can be transferred to Apple Cash or an external bank account; Apple says external transfers typically take one to three business days, and the receiving bank determines when deposited funds are available.

Will Apple Card Savings move to Chase?
Apple announced on January 7, 2026 that Chase would become the new issuer of Apple Card, with the transition expected to take approximately 24 months. Apple said cardholders could continue using their cards during the transition and that it would share more details closer to the transition date.
That announcement concerns the credit card issuer. It does not say that Apple Card Savings deposit accounts will move to Chase. Apple’s Savings page identifies Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Salt Lake City Branch, Member FDIC, as the provider of Savings. Apple Payments Services LLC says it is a service provider, and neither it nor Apple is a bank. Do not assume the card-issuer transition changes the Savings provider unless Apple announces that separately.
