The company said the financing would help it scale and continue developing API security, including protection for APIs used in the AI era. Wallarm did not disclose a valuation or the round’s full terms in its announcement.
Who invested in Wallarm’s $55 million Series C?
Wallarm named Toba Capital as the lead investor in the round. The company’s announcement does not provide a complete list of Series C participants. Wallarm’s company page separately lists Toba Capital, Y Combinator and Partech among its backers, but that broader list does not establish that Y Combinator or Partech participated in this particular financing.
The $55 million amount, round designation, announcement date and lead investor are details reported by Wallarm in its July 31, 2025 announcement. The release does not state Wallarm’s valuation or enumerate the full financing terms.
What does Wallarm do?
Wallarm sells API security software. Its product documentation describes tools to discover and inventory API endpoints, assess risk, and mitigate attacks inline. Wallarm lists REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SOAP and WebSocket among the API types its product supports. These are company descriptions of its product capabilities, not independent performance assessments. See Wallarm’s API Security documentation.
#1 Best Overall
API security focuses on protecting the application programming interfaces that let software systems exchange data and functionality. For businesses, API discovery and inventory can help security teams identify interfaces to assess, while risk scoring and inline mitigation are intended to help prioritize and respond to threats.
How does the funding fit Wallarm’s business?
Wallarm said it planned to use the proceeds to scale the business and continue API-security innovation, with an emphasis on protecting APIs in the AI era. In the announcement, CEO and co-founder Ivan Novikov said: “We’re doubling down on innovation to equip security teams with the intelligence and automation they need to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated and targeted API attacks.”

Wallarm also reported that it ended 2024 with 134% net revenue retention across enterprise accounts. That is a company-reported figure in its Series C announcement; the release does not provide an independent audit or enough detail about its calculation to verify it separately. Wallarm’s announcement is the source for the metric.

The company’s current positioning differs from the API-security framing of its 2025 funding announcement. Wallarm’s company page describes it as an AI Control Platform for enterprise AI, APIs and applications in production, lists Austin, Texas, as its headquarters, and names Toba Capital, Y Combinator and Partech among its backers. Its newsroom lists a June 2026 launch of the AI Control Platform. These are later company descriptions and do not change what the 2025 Series C announcement disclosed.
