The official 2024 instruction booklet listed corrections from 8–14 May, but the separate correction instructions said candidates could make Category 2 changes only on 15–16 May. The official documents do not explain the discrepancy. The current AP PGECET portal is showing the 2026 cycle, so check its current-cycle notices for any active application or correction window.
What were the AP PGECET 2024 correction dates?
The AP PGECET 2024 instruction booklet’s proposed schedule listed “Correction of online application data already submitted by the candidate” for 8–14 May 2024. A separate official correction-instructions PDF said candidates could make Category 2 changes only on 15–16 May 2024. Both documents are official, and neither explains why the dates differ. It is not established that one document formally replaced the other. Read the 2024 instruction booklet and read the correction instructions.
These dates are historical, not an invitation to register or edit a 2024 application now. The booklet also listed hall tickets from 22 May and examinations on 29–31 May 2024. The examination materials use both “AP PGECET” and “APPGECET”; Andhra University conducted the engineering postgraduate entrance test on behalf of APSCHE.
Which application details could be corrected?
The correction instructions divided fields into two categories. The category determined whether an applicant could make the change directly or had to request it from the Convener.

| Category | Who handled the correction | Fields listed in the 2024 instructions | Timing and evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Category 1 | Applicant sent a written request by email; the Convener’s office reviewed it. | Branch change; candidate name; father’s name; date of birth; signature; photograph; qualifying-examination hall ticket number; community. | The instructions do not give a separate Category 1 date range in the available text. Valid scanned supporting documents were required, and approval depended on document verification and committee approval. |
| Category 2 | Candidate made the edit through the online application process. | Qualifying examination; year of appearing or passing; medium of instruction; place of study; mother’s name; Aadhaar details; local-area status; minority status; parents’ annual income; study details; SSC hall ticket number; gender. | The specific correction instructions allowed candidate edits on 15–16 May 2024. They do not list a document requirement for each Category 2 field. |
For Category 1 requests, the instructions identify supporting evidence according to the correction—for example, a qualifying-examination hall ticket, SSC mark memo, scanned signature, corrected photograph in the required JPEG format, or community certificate. Applicants needed to provide documentation relevant to the requested change.
How did applicants request a Category 1 correction?
- Prepare a written request. State which application detail needs correction and include the supporting scanned document appropriate to that change.
- Include the requested identifiers. The correction instructions specify Payment ID, qualifying-examination hall ticket number, mobile number, date of birth, and SSC hall ticket number.
- Email the request to the helpdesk. The address given in the 2024 instructions was [email protected].
- Allow for review. Category 1 corrections were subject to verification of valid documents and committee approval; sending a request did not itself guarantee a change.
The instructions said Category 2 corrections would not be handled at test centers or the Convener’s office. Their note reads: “These corrections will not be entertained in any form at Test Centers or CONVENER APPGECET-2023 office.” This is the wording in the historical 2024 instructions.

Where should applicants look for a current correction window?
The official AP PGECET portal currently presents the 2026 cycle. Anyone seeking an active application or correction period should use the portal’s current-cycle notices rather than rely on the expired 2024 dates: official AP PGECET portal. The 2024 application user guide describes entering the form after fee payment with the payment reference ID, qualifying-examination hall ticket number, mobile number, and date of birth; it does not mean the old correction window remains open. Dates also vary by examination cycle, as illustrated by the official 2025 dates page.
