Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s exact current net worth is not established by her public financial disclosures. Her latest located filing is a 2025 amendment filed August 7, 2026, and it reports assets and student-loan debt in broad ranges rather than exact balances. Congress Stock Tracker’s separate $17,000 estimate is based on the midpoint of ranges in her 2024 annual filing—not an official or current valuation.

What is AOC’s net worth?

There is no confirmed exact figure in the available public filings. The House disclosure reports categories of assets and liabilities in value ranges; it does not total them into a net-worth figure or provide precise account balances. Because the filing is an amendment rather than a live account statement, it should not be read as a real-time measure of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s wealth.

The House Clerk explains that financial disclosures provide information about income sources and asset values and are publicly accessible under disclosure requirements. Those records are useful for understanding what was reported, but they are not a complete, exact snapshot of a person’s present-day net worth. House Clerk financial disclosure information.

What her latest located House filing reports

The Clerk’s 2025 amendment report identifies Ocasio-Cortez as a member representing New York’s 14th congressional district. It lists the following assets and student-loan liability in ranges:

Disclosure item Reported value
Allied Bank savings account $15,001–$50,000
Charles Schwab checking account $1,001–$15,000
Charles Schwab brokerage account $1–$1,000
National Hispanic Institute 401(k) plan $1,001–$15,000
U.S. Department of Education student loans $15,001–$50,000

The 401(k) plan lists T. Rowe Price Spectrum Income Fund (RPSIX) as its investment vehicle. The filing reports no transactions or earned income in the relevant schedules. These are separate disclosures: an account’s reported value is not the same thing as income earned or transactions made during the reporting period. 2025 amendment report, filed August 7, 2026.

Where the $17,000 estimate comes from

Congress Stock Tracker displayed an estimated net worth of $17,000 based on Ocasio-Cortez’s 2024 annual disclosure. The tracker says it calculates the estimate by subtracting the midpoint of disclosed liability ranges from the midpoint of disclosed asset ranges. It also cautions that actual values may differ. The figure is therefore a third-party estimate tied to the 2024 filing, not an exact balance or a confirmed current net worth. Congress Stock Tracker’s Ocasio-Cortez profile.

The tracker’s 2024 filing basis listed asset ranges totaling $17,000–$81,000 and liability ranges totaling $15,000–$50,000. Midpoint arithmetic can yield a single estimate from ranges, but it cannot reveal where the actual balances fall within those ranges.

How the latest filing compares with earlier disclosures

The 2025 amendment and 2024 annual report show broadly similar disclosed account categories and the same student-loan liability range. One listed investment vehicle changed: the 2024 report described the 401(k) investment as Prudential High Yield Z, while the 2025 amendment lists T. Rowe Price Spectrum Income Fund (RPSIX). The filings alone do not explain the change, so it should not be treated as evidence of a particular transaction or financial outcome.

The prior 2023 annual report also used ranges and reported student loans of $15,001–$50,000. It provides historical context, but the later amendment is the more current located filing for reported account details. 2024 annual report · 2023 annual report.

How to interpret claims about her wealth

  • Check the filing year and type. An annual report and a later amendment are different documents; the filing date does not make reported ranges current account balances.
  • Keep assets and liabilities distinct. Savings, brokerage, and retirement accounts are assets; student loans are a liability. Neither category alone is a net-worth total.
  • Do not treat a range midpoint as a disclosed balance. A midpoint is a calculation choice, not a value certified by the filer.
  • Do not confuse income or activity with wealth. Income and transactions are reported separately from asset values, and no transactions or earned income are reported in the relevant schedules of the 2025 amendment.

The latest filing can show the kinds of accounts and debt reported and the approximate brackets they fall into. It cannot support a precise, current net-worth number.
