Yes. Pokémon Center customers have reported being blocked by the site’s security service, often with “Access Denied — Error 15” and the message “This request was blocked by our security service.” That does not, by itself, prove that Pokémon Center permanently banned your account or IP address.
The problem can be browser-specific, connection-specific, or related to heavy traffic. Mozilla documented a case where a Pokémon Center product page was blocked in Firefox but loaded in Chrome, while customer reports describe similar errors during product launches and checkout.
Is an “Access Denied” page the same as a ban?
No—not necessarily. Pokémon Center does not publish a standard IP-ban policy for ordinary shoppers, and it has not disclosed the exact signals that trigger its security service. An Error 15 page may be a temporary security false positive rather than a permanent account restriction.
Several different problems can look similar:
| What you see | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| “Access Denied — Error 15” | A security layer rejected the request. The cause is not publicly specified. |
| Virtual queue | Traffic control during a high-demand period; it is not automatically a ban. |
| CAPTCHA or security check | The site is asking for an additional verification step. |
| Checkout or payment error | A separate order, payment, inventory, or session problem. |
Community reports mention rapid refreshing, extensive browsing during launches, extensions, and checkout security checks, but those reports do not establish an official list of triggers. Treat them as possible causes, not confirmed explanations.

What Pokémon Center recommends
For access problems, Pokémon Center advises customers to:
- Turn off any VPN.
- Clear the browser’s cache and cookies.
- Try another browser or device.
- Try another connection, such as mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
- Use the Pokémon Center website for the correct region.
During busy events, the company also warns shoppers not to open multiple tabs, use alternate links, refresh repeatedly, or attempt to bypass a virtual queue. Those actions can create additional technical errors.
Fix “Access Denied — Error 15” in order
- Stop refreshing. Repeated requests can make a temporary block harder to diagnose and can disrupt a queue session.
- Close duplicate tabs. Keep only one Pokémon Center window open, especially during a launch.
- Disable your VPN or proxy. Also check whether your browser or security software routes traffic through a privacy service.
- Temporarily disable page-altering extensions. Ad blockers, script blockers, anti-tracking tools, and shopping extensions can affect how a security check or product page loads. Re-enable them after testing.
- Delete Pokémon Center site data. In Chrome, go to
Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → See all site data and permissions, search forpokemoncenter.com, and delete the matching data. Menu names can vary by browser. - Try another browser. Mozilla recorded a reproducible case involving Firefox 147.0 on Windows 10 in which a Pokémon Center product page was blocked while the same access worked in Chrome. The main Pokémon Center site worked in that test, suggesting that some failures can be browser- or page-specific.
- Try another connection. Test mobile data instead of home Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi instead of mobile data. This helps identify whether the issue is tied to the current network path.
- Use the correct regional site. Do not use a VPN to pretend to be in another country or rely on a region-specific link that does not match your location.
Use the right Pokémon Center region
Pokémon Center lists these regional websites:
| Region | Website |
|---|---|
| United States | www.pokemoncenter.com |
| Canada | www.pokemoncenter.com/en-ca |
| United Kingdom | www.pokemoncenter.com/en-gb |
| Germany | www.pokemoncenter.com/en-de |
| Australia | www.pokemoncenter.com/en-au |
| New Zealand | www.pokemoncenter.com/en-nz |
To switch regions, scroll to the bottom of a Pokémon Center page, select the country shown at the bottom left, and choose the desired location under “Select your region.” A VPN or mismatched region can cause access problems, although Pokémon Center does not say that every Error 15 message is caused by a VPN or an IP ban.
Do not mistake the virtual queue for a block
Pokémon Center may place shoppers in a virtual queue when traffic is high. A long wait does not necessarily mean a product is launching, and being admitted does not guarantee that the item will still be in stock.
If you are in the queue:
- Keep the queue window open.
- Do not refresh it.
- Wait for automatic redirection.
- Do not open several Pokémon Center tabs.
- Do not try alternate links or queue-bypass methods.
These instructions matter financially as well as technically: opening extra sessions or repeatedly attempting checkout can leave you with confusing cart, inventory, or payment states without improving your chance of completing an order.

What to do if the block continues
After trying the steps above, contact Pokémon Center Support through the support website. Pokémon Center currently offers:
- Chat: select the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of the support site.
- Email: submit an email ticket.
- Phone: Pokémon Center says it does not currently offer phone support.
When contacting support, include the exact error text, the product URL, your browser and operating system, whether a VPN or extension was active, and whether the issue occurred on another device or network. Do not send your password or full payment-card number.
There is an important limitation: Pokémon Center says support may not be able to investigate individual access errors during high-traffic events, and its virtual-queue guidance says support agents cannot assist with virtual-queue issues. If the problem occurs during a launch, waiting for traffic to fall may be more effective than repeatedly submitting tickets.

- There is no current Pokémon Center help article confirming a routine IP-ban policy for ordinary shoppers.
- Pokémon Center has not published the precise conditions that produce Error 15.
- An access block does not prove that you used a bot, violated a purchase limit, or were permanently banned.
- A virtual queue, CAPTCHA, checkout failure, and Access Denied page are separate failure states.

The Bottom Line
Yes, real customers have been blocked from PokémonCenter.com, but an Error 15 page is not proof of a permanent ban. Follow Pokémon Center’s sequence: disable VPNs, stop repeated refreshes, clear site data, try another browser and connection, use the correct regional site, and keep only one virtual-queue window open. If the error remains, contact support without sharing sensitive payment information.
