Reports published after their 21 September 2024 fight estimated Anthony Joshua’s guaranteed purse at £6 million and Daniel Dubois’s at £3.5 million. The same reports said pay-per-view (PPV) sales could lift their totals to as much as £25 million and £10 million, respectively. These are reported estimates—not confirmed final payments.
What were Joshua and Dubois reportedly paid?
Capital XTRA reported on 23 September 2024 that Sporty Salaries estimated Joshua’s guarantee at £6 million and Dubois’s at £3.5 million. It also reported possible totals of up to £25 million for Joshua and £10 million for Dubois if PPV sales added to their earnings. Capital XTRA’s report presents these as estimates, not as disclosed contract terms.

SPORTbible repeated the same estimates and attribution to Sporty Salaries on 23 September 2024. Because it reports the same estimates rather than separate contract evidence, it does not independently verify the underlying figures. SPORTbible’s report also uses reported and expected framing.
Why the reported guarantee is not the same as the possible total
A guarantee is the reported amount a boxer would receive regardless of the additional sales-based upside described in these reports. The possible totals were conditional: the articles linked the increase to PPV sales. They do not provide verified sales figures or a calculation showing how sales translated into each boxer’s compensation.
