The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The scene is simple: an investor watches a stock or cryptocurrency chart on a computer monitor in a darkened room. The monitor is the essential piece of equipment; the chart itself does not identify a particular asset, platform, strategy, or trading result. For a more comfortable workstation, dark need not mean completely unlit: balance the screen with diffuse surrounding light and position it to limit glare.
What the scene does—and does not—show
A computer monitor displaying a market chart is the direct product represented here. Nothing in the scene establishes a monitor brand, screen size, charting service, trading venue, or whether the chart shows stocks or cryptocurrency. Nor does watching a chart by itself predict prices or improve investment outcomes.
If you are setting up a similar desk, choose a screen that makes its text and layout usable at your viewing distance, then position it comfortably. The goal is a practical workstation, not a particular trading setup.
Position the monitor for comfortable viewing
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends placing the monitor directly in front of you, with the top line of the screen at or below eye level. Its generally preferred viewing distance is 20 to 40 inches (50 to 100 cm); text may need adjustment when using a smaller screen. See OSHA’s monitor guidance.

#1 Best Overall
- Center the display in front of your usual seated position.
- Adjust the height so the top line is at or below eye level.
- Start within OSHA’s 20-to-40-inch guidance and adjust text size if it is difficult to read.
Use a darkened room without making the screen the only light
OSHA warns that high contrast between a computer display and surrounding areas can contribute to eye fatigue and headaches. It recommends well-distributed, diffuse lighting. A dim room can still have gentle ambient light; avoid making the display a bright rectangle against an otherwise unlit space. See OSHA’s workstation environment guidance.
Reflections can make chart details harder to see. OSHA advises placing task lighting so it does not reflect on the screen and positioning the display at right angles to windows and other light sources. A shielded desk lamp or indirect light may help you arrange the room, but the important point is where the light falls—not a claim that a particular lamp prevents eye problems.

What to consider if you are choosing a monitor
There is no universally best monitor size, resolution, refresh rate, panel type, or number of screens established for this scene. Consider the practical fit for your desk and computer instead:
- Readable text and workspace: Make sure chart labels and other on-screen text are comfortable to read, and that the display provides enough usable space for your layout.
- Computer compatibility: Check that your computer can drive the resolution you select.
- Positioning: Height and tilt adjustment, or a compatible stand or arm, can make it easier to place the screen as recommended.
- Reflections: Consider where windows and room lights are relative to the display.
- Additional screens: Add another display only if it solves a real layout need; the scene does not establish that multiple monitors are necessary.
These are useful selection dimensions, not a performance ranking. Dell’s monitor buying guidance discusses monitor-selection considerations; OSHA’s recommendations address screen placement and workstation conditions.

Is a dedicated market-price display necessary?
No. A computer monitor is sufficient to represent the scene. Tickrix describes a dedicated Wi-Fi display for stock and cryptocurrency prices on its product page, but that is an adjacent product category, not a requirement for viewing a market chart. Its listed features are vendor claims, not an independent comparison of display options.
