The STARZ Cyber Monday deal advertised in 2025 offered a prepaid year of streaming for $12—equivalent to $1 per month, but not twelve monthly payments. That offer has ended. As of October 8, 2026, STARZ’s signup page shows different promotions, so check the current terms before subscribing.

What the $12 STARZ deal included

Engadget reported on December 2, 2025, that STARZ was offering 12 months for a single $12 upfront payment, compared with a stated regular annual price of $70. TV Guide’s November 21, 2025, coverage also described the offer as $1 per month when customers prepaid for 12 months. In other words, “an entire year of Starz for $12” meant paying the full year’s promotional price at signup, not being billed $1 each month. Engadget’s 2025 report and TV Guide’s 2025 coverage document the historical deal.

The reports also described a separate short-term option: $3 per month for the first three months in Engadget’s account, and $2.99 per month for three months in TV Guide’s. That was a monthly promotion, not the prepaid annual plan. A lower monthly commitment can mean less paid upfront, but it does not buy the same 12-month period at the $12 annual price.

What STARZ is offering now

On October 8, 2026, STARZ’s official signup page displayed a limited-time annual offer of $29.99 prepaid for 12 months, against a listed annual price of $69.99. It also displayed a monthly promotion of $4.99 per month for three months, against a listed monthly price of $11.99. These are offers observed on that date, not guaranteed ongoing prices; check the page at signup because promotions can change.

Check renewal terms before subscribing

The terms shown on STARZ’s signup page for its current promotion say it is available to new and previous STARZ App subscribers who resubscribe through starz.com. The offer does not include a free trial. After the promotional period, the subscription automatically changes to month-to-month at the then-current price unless canceled. The page identifies that monthly price as $11.99 plus applicable taxes and says the subscription fee is non-refundable. Those terms describe the promotion displayed when checked on October 8, 2026; confirm the terms presented at checkout, since both offers and prices may change.

What you get with a STARZ subscription

STARZ describes its service as a continuously updated library of original series, movies, and docuseries. Its signup page lists ad-free viewing, offline downloads, viewing across screens at home or on a phone, and simultaneous streaming on multiple devices. The page does not establish that a particular television, streaming device, or other physical product is required to redeem or use the subscription.

TV Guide’s 2025 deal coverage mentioned series such as Outlander: Blood of My Blood, The Couple Next Door, Mary & George, and Black Sails, as well as films including The Strangers: Chapter 1, Flight Risk, and Imaginary. Those are examples cited in a 2025 article, not a promise that each title is available now; check STARZ’s current catalog for availability.

Is the current annual offer worth considering?

Compare the total commitment, not just the per-month equivalent. The $12 2025 offer required paying for a full year upfront; STARZ’s page on October 8, 2026, showed a different $29.99 annual prepayment. The monthly promotion required a smaller recurring payment for only three months, after which the subscription terms and then-current price matter. If you choose a promotion, note its end date and cancellation deadline, and check the renewal price before confirming. The $12 Cyber Monday price is a historical deal, not a current signup option.
