It is the successor to Amazon Warehouse, offering used, pre-owned and open-box items. You can browse the dedicated storefront or look for a used offer on a regular product page; the condition label and live listing details are essential to deciding whether the discount is worthwhile.
What changed from Amazon Warehouse?
In August 2024, Amazon announced that Amazon Warehouse would be called Amazon Resale. The name change applies to Amazon’s storefront for discounted used, pre-owned and open-box products; it is not a separate product category or a promise that every product will have a used offer. Amazon’s overview describes the marketplace, and GeekWire reported the rebrand on August 12, 2024.
Where to find Amazon Resale offers
You can browse the Amazon Resale storefront or open an individual product page and look for an offer labeled “Save with Used” or “Buy Used.” The used offer may not be available for every product, and Amazon says its inventory changes frequently. Prices vary with the item’s stated condition, so a price or offer seen earlier may no longer be available. Amazon’s guide explains both ways to find offers.
What Amazon’s condition labels mean
Amazon says it inspects items and assigns one of four condition labels. Read the listing’s description as well as the label: the label alone does not tell you which accessories are included or the precise state of a particular item.

- Very Good: A condition grade below Like New.
- Good: A condition grade below Very Good.
- Acceptable: The lowest of the four labels.
Amazon’s overview does not define a universal set of cosmetic or functional criteria for each grade, so use the specific listing’s condition notes when deciding whether its described state works for you. For electronics, Amazon says its evaluation includes powering the item on, testing it and performing a factory reset. That is Amazon’s description of its process, not an independent audit of each listing.

Compare the live Resale offer with the new offer for the same product. Check the actual price, condition notes, included accessories and return terms displayed on the listing before placing an order. Amazon says Resale items are covered by its returns policy; review the terms shown for the specific item rather than assuming that every offer has identical details.

Amazon reported that customers saved over 25% on average on Amazon Resale items “last year” in an overview published August 12, 2024, and updated November 20, 2024. In that context, “last year” means 2023. This is Amazon’s own reported average, not an independently established estimate or a guarantee that a particular item will be discounted by that amount. Amazon’s overview also notes that prices and inventory change.
