How to find the return deadline for a Prime Day order
- Sign in to the Amazon.com account used to place the order and open Your Orders.
- Find the Prime Day purchase and select the return option shown for that item.
- Review the eligibility and available return methods, then follow the on-screen instructions. Options can vary by item, seller, or reason for return.
- After starting the return, find the return-by date in the confirmation email or in Order History under Return Request.
- Complete the required drop-off or carrier pickup by the displayed date.
If the order is missing, the item is marked ineligible, or you need an exception, contact Amazon Customer Service rather than assuming a general deadline applies.
How Amazon’s general return window differs from your deadline
Amazon’s US policy says most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, but that is a general rule, not a guarantee for every Prime Day purchase. The policy lists exceptions and directs customers to check an item’s eligibility in Order History. Use the result for your specific order and, once a return is initiated, its return-by date. What happens if you miss the return-by date?
Amazon’s US policy says a late fee may apply if drop-off or carrier pickup is not completed by the return-by date. The policy describes a possible fee of 20% of the item price during the first 30 days after that date and 100% afterward. Check the current policy and your order details for the terms that apply; do not treat the displayed return-by date as optional. Amazon’s US Return Policy
Does Prime Day give every purchase an extended return window?
Amazon’s current US help information does not establish a special return extension for Prime Day purchases as a group. Do not infer your deadline from the sale date or assume all items have the same return window. Check the item’s eligibility and return-by date in your account.
