Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days run October 6–7, 2026, and require a Prime membership to shop event deals. The sale has not started yet, so a verified list of 55 live deals—and event-day prices—does not exist as of October 4. Amazon has announced early offers, but their prices, stock and Prime eligibility can change. Use this guide to understand the schedule, assess the offers already named and check each listing before buying.
When is October Prime Day 2026?
Amazon’s official name for the October sale is Prime Big Deal Days. In the U.S., it is scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. Do you need Prime to shop the deals?
Yes. Amazon says a Prime membership is required to access Prime Big Deal Days event deals in the U.S. Its listed standard U.S. membership rates are $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Eligible young adults and students may receive a six-month trial, then pay $7.49 per month or $69 per year; qualifying Prime Access members can try 30 days before paying $6.99 per month. Eligibility and membership terms can change, so confirm them on Amazon before signing up. Amazon’s event FAQ has the current details.

Early Amazon offers to check
Amazon’s pre-event materials name examples, not guaranteed prices for October 6–7. The discount ceilings below apply to selected offers and should not be read as savings on every item in a category.
| Offer type | Products Amazon has named | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon devices and bundles | Amazon Ember 55-inch Mini-LED Series with Alexa+; Amazon Ember 50-inch 4 Series with Alexa+; Ring Battery Doorbell Plus Bundle; Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle | Amazon says selected devices and bundles are up to 45% off in early offers. The exact item prices and continued availability are not stated in the announcement. Amazon early deals |
| Blink security bundles | Blink Outdoor 2K+ and Video Doorbell Bundle, among selected bundles | Amazon says selected Blink bundles are up to 70% off. This is a promotional maximum, not a discount on every Blink product. Amazon early deals |
| Books | Wishbone Kitchen by Meredith Hayden, among thousands of print books | Amazon says thousands of print books have offers up to 65% off; the individual book’s current price is not stated. Amazon’s event announcement |
Amazon’s September announcement also names brands and products including Sony, Tarte, adidas, Caraway, Play-Doh, Canon, Dove, LEGO, Dyson, Shark, Princess Polly and Soundcore. Those mentions do not establish a particular live price or prove that every named brand has a deal. Confirm the specific listing and its terms before treating an item as discounted.

How to judge whether an offer is actually worthwhile
A discount label is not enough to show that a purchase is good value. For each product, check the listing’s price trend, compare the exact model and size with alternatives, and make sure the current seller and Prime eligibility match the offer. Amazon says its Price History feature provides up to 365 days of pricing insights on hundreds of millions of products; it is a tool for checking an individual item’s trend, not proof that every sale price is a bargain. Amazon’s FAQ explains its shopping tools.

- Confirm the reference price. Compare the deal price with the product’s price history rather than relying only on a crossed-out list price.
- Compare like with like. Check model number, screen size, bundle contents, color or capacity; a lower price for a different configuration is not a direct comparison.
- Check the listing details. Verify the seller, availability, delivery date and whether the offer is marked for Prime members.
- Decide on the product before the countdown. Set a personal maximum price in advance so limited-time messaging does not drive an unnecessary purchase.
How to find deals during the event
- Save products you are considering. Add them to a list or use Amazon’s available product and category alerts so you can check when an offer appears.
- Check at scheduled deal drops. Amazon says new “Today’s Big Deals” are scheduled for midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. PDT. Offers may end when supplies run out. See Amazon’s event FAQ.
- Open the individual product page. Recheck the price, Prime eligibility, seller and stock at the time you intend to buy; an earlier announcement or screenshot is not a guarantee.
- Review Price History and alternatives. Use the price trend for context, then compare the exact product with similar models at the same total price.
Why this is not yet a verified list of 55 deals
As of October 4, the event is still ahead. Amazon has announced selected early offers, while Tom’s Guide’s October 2 roundup reported 53 early deals—not 55 verified event-day listings. Its snapshot included examples such as smart TVs starting at $69, a Cosori air fryer at $99 (was $119) and New Balance Ellipse shoes at $99 (was $144). Those are that publisher’s reported early prices, not guarantees they remain available during the event or independent verification of each item’s price history. Amazon’s promotional materials also quote a claim of more than one million items at its lowest price of the year so far. That is Amazon’s claim, not an independently verified comparison. Check any item you plan to buy against its own listing and price history rather than treating a broad promotional statement as a guarantee.
