Amazon promoted the event as an early holiday-shopping opportunity for Prime members, but its announcements do not establish which offers ultimately delivered the best value or set record-low prices. Those judgments require product-level event prices and comparable price histories.
When was Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2025?
Amazon announced the U.S. event for October 7–8, beginning at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 7. The UK announcement gave local times: 00:01 on October 7 through 23:59 on October 8. The event has ended; these dates are historical, not a schedule for a future sale. Amazon’s U.S. announcement and Amazon UK’s announcement set out the respective schedules.

What did Amazon say would be on sale?
Amazon positioned the event as a Prime-member sale and an early start to holiday shopping. Its U.S. announcement named beauty, electronics, gifts, seasonal essentials, home, kitchen, toys and household items. UK materials listed home, kitchen, electronics, toys, fashion, beauty and self-care. Amazon’s North America Marketing and Prime Tech vice president Carmen Nestares described it this way: “Prime Big Deal Days kicks off the holiday shopping season with exclusive deals for Prime members on must-have items and popular gifts,” Amazon said.
Amazon’s announcements named brands and products including KitchenAid, Shark, LEGO, Levi’s, Ninja, Crocs, De’Longhi and OURA. The UK announcement also cited more than 200 million paid Prime members worldwide; that is a company-reported membership figure, not a count of shoppers or event results.

What discounts and deal mechanics were advertised?
The advertised maximums were selective promotions, not evidence that every item in a category received that discount or that the final price was unusually low.
| Market | Amazon’s advertised offer or feature | What the claim establishes |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Up to 50% off selected Levi’s and CIDER fashion; up to 45% off selected BISSELL and iRobot home products; up to 40% off selected toys | Promotional ceilings for selected items in Amazon’s preview, not typical discounts across those categories. Source |
| United Kingdom | Up to 40% off across categories | An Amazon-advertised maximum; the announcement does not establish the discount available on every product. Source |
For the U.S., Amazon said its “Today’s Big Deals” would drop at 12 a.m., 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. PT during the event. UK materials referred to a limited-time feature called “New Deal Drop.” These were announced sale mechanics; the announcements do not document the complete live inventory. Amazon described the U.S. selection as “millions of deals” and the UK selection as “hundreds of thousands of deals.” Those are separate, company-promotional descriptions for their respective markets, not independently audited counts of transactions or savings. U.S. announcement; UK announcement.

Did you need Prime to shop?
Amazon presented Prime Big Deal Days as an event with exclusive deals for Prime members. The announcements therefore establish Prime membership as the stated eligibility for those exclusive offers, but do not provide a complete offer-by-offer eligibility list. Check the terms of a particular listing rather than assuming every product or discount had identical access rules.

The cited announcements are not enough to determine whether the event’s deals were good overall, whether a particular item reached a record low, or whether a specific prediction came true. Amazon’s preview documents advertised offers and examples, not a complete record of transaction prices or a comparison against prior prices. A defensible judgment needs evidence for the exact product and configuration, not just a headline percentage.

To assess a past or future offer, compare:
- Price history: the event price against a documented history for the same item, over a clearly stated period.
- Exact product: the model, size, bundle and included accessories; similar-looking versions can have different prices and specifications.
- Eligibility and location: whether the offer required Prime and applied in the relevant country.
- Availability and delivery: whether the item was in stock and what shipping terms applied.
Without those details, “up to” discount claims and promotional labels cannot show that an offer beat the item’s usual price. Amazon’s U.S. announcement, U.S. deal preview and UK announcement do not establish realized average savings, sales volume or historical price lows.
