Amazon promoted millions of deals across more than 35 categories, but the available official sources do not establish that its event picks were Amazon Outlet listings. The offers below are historical—not prices available now.
Was Prime Big Deal Days the same as Amazon Outlet?
No. “October Prime Day” is a common way to describe Amazon’s fall promotion, but Amazon called its 2025 event Prime Big Deal Days. It began at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 7 and ended October 8, and Amazon presented it as a Prime-member event. Amazon’s event announcement described millions of deals.

Amazon Outlet is a separate shopping program for discounted overstock and clearance products. Amazon’s seller documentation says Outlet deals are limited-time offers, usually featured for two weeks, while Outlet sales are price-reduction promotions. Selection may depend on current demand and product star rating, and submitted deals are featured after Amazon approval. Those are general program details, not the terms or duration of Prime Big Deal Days. See Amazon’s Outlet overview and its Outlet quick-start guide.
The official sources reviewed do not connect the products in Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days announcements to Outlet. They do not establish a combined Outlet-and-event deal list, specific Outlet markdowns, or that an Outlet discount stacked with a Prime Big Deal Days offer. A product appearing in Amazon’s event recap is therefore not proof it was an Outlet item.

What Amazon featured during the October 2025 event
Amazon’s preview and event announcement covered beauty, electronics, gifts, seasonal essentials, home, kitchen, toys, fashion, and household supplies. Brand examples included KitchenAid, Shark, medicube, tarte, Melissa & Doug, LEGO, Dawn, Crest, and Dixie. These are examples from Amazon’s event materials, not confirmed Outlet listings. Amazon’s retrospective described the promotion as spanning more than 35 categories; that is Amazon’s own promotional figure, not an independently audited count. Amazon’s 2025 event recap lists the categories and deal examples.
Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle
One identifiable historical offer in Amazon’s recap was the Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle: a Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition with 32 GB of storage, a plant-based leather cover, and a wireless charging dock. Amazon reported it at up to 32% off during the event. That figure is a past, maximum discount reported by Amazon in 2025; it does not show the bundle’s current price or establish Outlet status. Amazon’s recap is the source for the bundle and discount.

How to interpret the event’s “best deals” now
Because Prime Big Deal Days 2025 has ended, the figures above describe what Amazon promoted then, not offers you can still claim. A current price or availability requires checking the live product listing; the historical recap is not a current offer page. Nor does it support a general conclusion about savings across the event: “millions of deals” and “more than 35 categories” are Amazon’s descriptions, not independently verified performance measures.
For a current purchase, check the live listing for the exact product and configuration, its present price, and whether the listing identifies it as Outlet overstock or clearance. Treat an old event discount as historical context, not as a benchmark that proves today’s price is a good deal. Do not assume a past event promotion and an Outlet offer can be combined unless a current, dated listing explicitly shows both.

What Amazon said about the event
Carmen Nestares, Amazon vice president of North America Marketing and Prime Tech, described Prime Big Deal Days as an event that “kicks off the holiday shopping season with exclusive deals for Prime members on must-have items and popular gifts.” This is Amazon’s characterization of its promotion, not an independent assessment of the value of its offers. Amazon’s announcement attributes the statement to Nestares.
