Its prices and discounts describe 2024 promotions—not offers available today.
What the 2024 roundup covered
Laptop Mag’s 2024 list spanned consumer electronics rather than one recommended college setup. Categories included Alexa devices, laptops, tablets, headphones, monitors, gaming hardware and accessories, wearables, phones, and TVs. The named products ranged from Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro M3 models to Fire tablets, Kindle devices, Sony headphones, consoles, watches, and televisions. The original article is available at Laptop Mag.
That breadth is useful as a record of what the sale roundup included, but the products are not substitutes for one another. A student shopping for a computer should compare laptops with laptops; a monitor, TV, or gaming headset answers a different need.

What the Fire HD 10 example tells you—and what it doesn’t
The article described the 64GB 2023 Amazon Fire HD 10 as a 10.1-inch WUXGA touchscreen tablet with 3GB of RAM, expandable storage, 5MP front and rear cameras, and Alexa. It said the tablet supported an Amazon Stylus Pen sold separately. Those are details as presented in the 2024 roundup, not a verification of a current listing or current model specifications.

How to use an old sale roundup for a college-tech purchase
Use the 2024 list as a record of product categories and examples, not as a shopping cart or price benchmark. Before buying, start with the student’s actual tasks—such as writing papers, reading, video calls, or gaming—and compare products within the relevant category.
