Amazon India’s Great Summer Sale 2025 ran from May 1 to May 8, 2025, and has ended. Amazon advertised discounts across multiple categories, plus card, EMI, cashback, coupon and exchange offers; those were event-period promotions, not proof of today’s prices or savings.
When did Amazon Great Summer Sale 2025 run?
Amazon’s retrospective says the sale went live at 12 p.m. on May 1, 2025, and was scheduled to end on May 8. The company said Prime members received 12 hours of early access beginning at midnight on May 1. Amazon’s retrospective records the dates and access window.
Amazon’s announcement body, datelined April 29, 2025, had described a May 1 launch and a 12-hour Prime head start. Its press page header displays August 26, 2025, which differs from the announcement’s body date; the body itself refers to the upcoming sale. Amazon India’s announcement contains the original offer details.
What categories and products were included?
Amazon listed offers across smartphones and accessories; appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, chimneys, microwaves and dishwashers; laptops, tablets, cameras, wearables, audio and computer accessories; TVs; fashion and beauty; books, toys and gaming; groceries; home and kitchen; and smart devices. The broader announcement also mentioned entertainment and daily essentials.

Which discounts and payment offers did Amazon announce?
Amazon advertised up to 80% off across selected products, up to 75% off electronics and accessories, and a 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank credit cards. It also described EMI, exchange benefits, Amazon Pay rewards, cashback and coupons. These were advertised terms for selected offers: the maximum percentages did not apply to every product, and card or other benefits depended on the offer’s eligibility and conditions.

Amazon’s announcement states: “The product details, description, features, deals, pricing and other claims are as provided by the sellers and banking/ finance partners.” It adds that Amazon is not involved in pricing or describing products and is not responsible for the accuracy of seller-provided product information. The stated discounts therefore should be treated as promotional claims, not independently audited savings.

The sale ended on May 8, 2025. Its retrospective does not verify current listings, stock, prices or eligibility for any offer. Check the live listing and its terms before making a purchase; an old event price, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra example, does not establish what an item costs now.

How to assess a sale offer
- Compare the live price with prices for the same model and configuration, rather than relying only on a maximum advertised discount.
- Check specifications, capacity or compatibility, warranty, and delivery or installation terms against your needs.
- For a bank-card, EMI, exchange or coupon offer, read the current eligibility rules and calculate the final payable amount, including any applicable charges.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
