Allahabad University extended the PGAT 2025 deadline for registration, application submission and fee payment to 20 May 2025. The application window and the 2025 exam dates have passed; this is a historical notice, not an open application opportunity.

The University’s notice directed applicants to the PGAT 2025 admissions portal or the PGAT-2025 link on the University of Allahabad website. The notice does not establish whether the portal is operating now, so do not treat it as a current application route.
What the extension covered
The University’s notice dated 16 May 2025 extended three linked steps through 20 May: registration, submission of the application form, and payment of fees. PGAT 2025 deadline and exam timeline
- 25 April 2025: Online registration opened, according to the University’s original announcement.
- 16 May 2025: The University issued its extension notice, moving the initial 16 May deadline to 20 May.
- 20 May 2025: Extended last date for registration, application submission and fee payment.
- 10–13 June 2025: Dates scheduled for PGAT-2025 in the extension notice.

Courses, modes and locations in the 2025 notice
The notice described PGAT-2025 as the entrance test for postgraduate and other professional courses, including M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., B.Ed., M.Ed., M.B.A., LL.B., LL.M. and Institute of Professional Studies courses. The University’s original announcement said PGAT-I was available in online and offline modes, while PGAT-II was online only. It advised candidates to check eligibility in the information bulletin and select subject codes carefully.
The extension notice listed online and offline test options in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly and New Delhi, and online-only options in Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram. These are details of the 2025 cycle, not a schedule for a later admission year. The original release stated that the test consisted of 150 multiple-choice questions for 300 marks. Anyone seeking admission after the 2025 cycle should use the University of Allahabad’s current admission-cycle notice and information bulletin. Dates, eligibility, test modes, subject codes and application instructions for PGAT 2025 should not be assumed to apply to a later cycle.
