The final deadline to apply for Allahabad University PGAT 2025 was 20 May 2025, after the University extended the original 16 May deadline. Registration for that cycle is closed; the listed portal is historical, not a confirmed active application link. For the later cycle, use the University’s PG Admission 2026–2027 page and check its latest notice for current application dates.
What was the final PGAT 2025 registration deadline?
The University of Allahabad initially set 16 May 2025 as the last date to register for the 2025–2026 postgraduate admissions cycle. A subsequent extension notice moved the final date for registration, application submission, and fee payment to 20 May 2025. The notice said no further extension would be permitted.
The correction window was 22–23 May 2025, and the University listed examination dates of 10–13 June 2025. These dates belong to the 2025 cycle and are not a schedule for later admissions.
Where was the PGAT 2025 application portal?
The University’s notice named the PGAT-2025 application portal. It is a link for the closed 2025 cycle; its presence on an archived admissions page does not establish that it is accepting applications now.

What did PGAT-I and PGAT-II cover?
For 2025, the University described two test groupings. The course lists and eligibility requirements were in the official information bulletin; applicants were also advised to enter subject codes carefully because changes would not be entertained later.
Rank #2
- PGAT-I: Conventional postgraduate courses; the test was offered online and offline.
- PGAT-II: Non-conventional postgraduate courses; the test was online only.
What were the 2025 fees and test format?
The University’s 2025 press release listed the following application fees by category. These are historical amounts, not fee guidance for a later cycle.
| Test | Unreserved, EWS, and OBC | SC/ST/PwD |
|---|---|---|
| PGAT-I | ₹1,000 | ₹500 |
| PGAT-II | ₹1,600 | ₹800 |
The same 2025 release described each test as carrying 300 marks and having 150 multiple-choice questions, with no negative marking. It said 50 questions on general awareness, English, Hindi, logical reasoning, and mental ability were compulsory for most courses, subject to exceptions for LL.M., B.Ed., M.Ed., and MBA/MBA (RD). The remaining questions depended on the programme, and MBA applicants had an additional departmental test. Course-specific requirements should be checked in the relevant bulletin rather than inferred from the general format.
