Which LEGO Pokémon sets were announced for 2026?

First-wave display sets

LEGO announced these three 18+ builds for February 27, 2026. The descriptions below reflect LEGO’s announcement.

LEGO described Eevee as having movable tail, head and limbs; Pikachu’s build includes an opening Poké Ball and alternate display poses; and the three Kanto evolutions are individually poseable on a shared base.

SMART Play sets

LEGO announced these 12 sets on June 2, 2026, for August 1 availability. Its system distinction is important when comparing what is included: All-in-One sets come with at least one SMART Brick, a charger and SMART Tags; Compatible sets include SMART Tags but no SMART Brick. LEGO describes SMART Play as screen-free play that responds through light, sound, motion and sensing. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test results.

July additions

LEGO announced these five on July 7, 2026. All but Up-Scaled Red Minifigure are marked 18+; Red is marked 10+.

The July announcement describes the Poké Ball as an opening display build with scenes, Professor Oak, Picnicker and Red minifigures, plus Pikachu and Eevee figures. Its own product table and descriptive paragraph disagree on the piece count, so both figures are shown rather than presenting one as settled.

How much do LEGO Pokémon sets cost?

Across these announcements, the US list-price bands are $59.99–$649.99 for the first display wave, $14.99–$119.99 for SMART Play, and $69.99–$299.99 for the July additions. Can you still pre-order LEGO Pokémon?

No preorder window in the three announcements remains open as of October 7, 2026. The first-wave preorder period was announced to begin January 12; LEGO announced the SMART Play sets in June for August release; and preorders for the July additions were announced to begin July 7. Their scheduled releases have passed. Treat these as released products and check live stock and delivery estimates in your market.

• Start with LEGO.com or a LEGO Store listing in your region, then compare authorized retailers.
• For the July wave, Pokémon’s announcement also identified Pokémon Center as a preorder channel; that historical mention does not confirm current stock or availability in every market.
• Confirm the seller, local price, shipping, tax and estimated delivery before placing an order. Historical announcements do not guarantee current inventory, preorder access, bonuses or a seller’s price.

How to choose a set without underestimating the cost

• Set a market-specific ceiling: compare the current local listing, not a price in another currency. The announcement prices in the tables are reference points, not a promise of today’s checkout price.
• Decide between display and interactive play: the first wave and July builds are described as display-oriented sets, while SMART Play sets are designed around interactive play.
• Check the SMART Brick before buying add-ons: only the two All-in-One sets in this announced assortment include the Brick. A Compatible set adds to play but does not supply one.
• Use piece count carefully: it is one comparison point, not a measure of model scale or overall value. Compare the actual build and included hardware as well as the price.
• Check age guidance and space: age labels distinguish the intended complexity, while larger display builds may require more room than compact play sets.

Are any announced bonuses still available?

The January announcement offered LEGO Pokémon Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) with purchase of set 72153 from February 27 through March 3, 2026, while supplies lasted. It also described a Mini Pokémon Center Insiders reward for 2,500 points beginning February 27 in select markets, while supplies lasted; its code was valid for 60 days after redemption. Both offers are historical and should not be counted on as current.

LEGO’s June SMART Play announcement said Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night (40887) was coming soon as a gift-with-purchase set and directed readers to LEGO.com for updates. That announcement does not establish whether or when the offer became active or what its current terms or availability are.
